That opening montage with all the suspects right down to the "or was it somebody else?" is a giveaway that the script for this episode was originally commissioned for "Ellery Queen" three years earlier (where Ken Swofford had been a semi-regular as Frank Flanagan). That was a show that should have lasted much longer than it did.
Hello there, this is Derrick Ferguson from Little Rock, Arkansas. I like this classic television show, and it's called The Eddie Capra Mysteries. It brings back some of my memories. See you all again real soon.
I assume because it was only a 1 season show, it hasn't made it to DVD or was only limited because of lack of volume sales. If anyone has a direction to look in, please let me know. Have checked E bay, Amazon and even TCM.
Peter S. Fischer was involved in the three of the best mystery TV series ever ("Columbo," "Ellery Queen," "Murder, She Wrote"). This show, though sadly short-lived, was still a better mystery story than some of the hit shows of that era ("Charlie's Angels," "Vega$," "Starsky & Hutch").
Gotta ask where'd you find this & is the series on Dvd anywhere? This was one the things that made me a mystery fan since I was a kid. I was 8 when this first aired.
@@Cavillier1970 Would you consider putting it up on RUclips. I loved this show in the 1970s. (see my review here: audere.chickadeeprince.com/2019/06/22/steven-s-drachman-reviews-an-old-episode-of-the-eddie-capra-mysteries-that-he-saw-on-youtube/)
What a time to be alive! The 70s were the best
Elvis performance was COOL
9:40 Ah yes - Andy Garak, sorry, sorry - Andrew Robinson - QUALITY! Not only a great actor but also a really nice person in real life....

Peter S. Fisher, the creator of "Eddie Capra Mysteries" also adapted "Ellery Queen" for television.

Would you have more episodes of this show to post?
Well this is fun. I watched this show when it was on.
If you have any other episodes... please post, if you can ;)
1978-1979. I don’t remember it.
Macgyver, Moonlighting, Magnum PI, Rockford and more were lighthearted, but engaging entertainment with great characters.
I love this.
Ken Swafford, class act. Both these guys had roles on Rockford Files. Wish this show had really taken off.

I was young but I didn’t remember this like I remember Adam 12, Kojack, Starksy and Hutch etc.
never saw this episode thanks 4 sharing
Does anyone have the episode "And the Sea Shall Give Up Her Dead"? I'd really like to see that one on RUclips. Or any others anyone has.

All three of those were produced by Aaron Spelling!
I still can't believe Vincent is dead. Depressing. I remember he had a tiny bit part in a Partridge Family episode, as an amusement park employee.
he was on Hunter
He was in one of the hour-long Twilight Zone episodes, "The Thirty-Fathom Grave".
@@recordman64 yes, Rockford Files as well, but he never got his due. He had a great vibe that came through his characters.
He was also on a Season 1 episode of “The Love Boat” opposite Jane Curtin.

I got it from someone on iOffer - I think have some others, I'll put them up soon if I do.
