Mikah( hoped I spelled it right?) is the luckiest child in the world. I don't think that many get to travel like him. I know for sure that he has traveled more than me 🤫. He's going to have an interesting life growing up and viewing these videos in the future 😊. These video is also like a biography for him. It will probably help him reflect on how his childhood was like 💪. Sometimes I wished that I was born in a technological age where it's easy to record memories (actually I wish my parents were more technologically advanced 😥).
So glad to see this awesome guy in my hometown. I'm very proud to be born in this amazing city. My people is extremely friendly and I appreciate the fact Mark is willing to share this experience with the world. I wish I could meet him in person. He should definitely come to Canada, my second home now. Even though there's not as many options of local food as in Belem, but you're totally gonna feel the kindness and warmth of the Canadians.

I love my country ♥️ I've been to Belém once and I get why it's one of his favorite cities. Belém is incredible! Amazing food, great culture and people are so friendly that makes you want to live there. It's no need to talk about nature, it speaks for itself. I miss Belém!
Hi, Mark! I loved the video, I'm from Belém and I'm his fan. I love to taste different foods. I have lived in Malaysia, Japan and the United States. I know Thailand too. God bless your beautiful family!
Esta ciudad es muy encantadora y de facil acceso, espero poder regresar cuando todo esto pase. Ver y compartir lugares como estos es por lo que me gusta viajar y hacer videos!
Mark, the nets are for keeping children and pets safe. It is to prevent accidents so they won’t fall into the ground. Thank you for your positivity. I live in the US. Belém is my hometown.
Mark man, thank you for sharing this vlog, so awesome. I especially liked your purple smile after you drank acai, epic 😊 Sending love and good vibes from Cali 🇺🇸
Not all developing countries are the same. In fact you can find videos with comparisons between Brazil and other cultures in which foreigners are surprised at how clean brazilians are. Many brazilians brush their teeth after lunch, even if they're at work. Most of us also don't like to touch food with our hands, so we eat pizza with knife and fork and hold our sandwiches/burguers with napkins. Some brazilians even carry a small bottle of alcohol gel to desinfect their hands from time to time. An example: ruclips.net/video/FxniBqU8lgA/видео.html

I know that building Mark! Its “Edifício Paulina”. It is a dangerous but nice area in Belém. Let me know next time u come down so I can show u guys some nice Burger Joints around the hood and also some regional fast food. Peace!

Hi Mark, Belém is not a city in Portugal, but a parte of Lisbon and the place where you had the original egg tarts in the place where they where invented ( Pastéis de Belém) . Cheers.
Im actually watching this video laying in a hammock in my living room, hahaha. Those nets are for birds and for kids, because there were some accidents where kids thought they were superman and jumped here in Brazil (at least a decade ago) and kids here are hyperactive too, so people who have kids always put those nets in their appartments to avoid accidents.
Mark you are natural, genuine, adorable, funny , and very interesting to watch, love your work mate you are awesome keep the awesome vids. Love from the Lebanese ppl/ Thai ppl in Australia 🙏🏼
In Brazil many people live in apartament buildings. These nets on the windows are actually for keeping children, cats and dogs from clinbing the window and falling on the ground.
I have to admit ..I really enjoyed this vlog Mark...we don't have fresh acai here in Houston but I'm going to go to Costco to pick some up and try them out tomorrow ..thank you for the tour Mark 👍
Hello Mark. Belém is not in fact a city, it´s a part of lisbon. You need to come back and refresh on Portugal. I already commented before that you need to come back and see the north of Portugal. Good work.
Even though open kitchens are so popular in lots of countries, it does not seem so useful, the smell of food spreads all over the rooms and couches, curtains and all fabrics absorb it. This is why n Europe, especially in Italy, kitchens have a door and a window, unless they are in veeeery small houses.
Man you are the best! Hahaha you really appreciate all kind of food and it is impossible people not to be friendly with you. I miss having some açaí in Brazil.
The nets on the balcony is mostly and more importantly to avoid someone to climb into the apartment. Sometimes people throw themselves from balconies like that although not very common.
At 11:20 you can see the reason brazilian people are diferent species and need to be studied by NASA. The apartment owner had a door lock made for the opposite side and instead of buying a new one, he just turned it upside down and used it anyway. This is a realy good example of what the so callled "jeitinho brasileiro" means, wich is finding creative or kind solutions to solve everyday problems that arise. As you all can see, it may be kind of controversial, as it is used for every single aspect of the people lives. About those nets, people use it in case they have animals in the apartment (the owner probaly had one), preventing accidents. It is mainly used by people who create cats. Greetings from Brazil
I'm Brazilian, and I live in the western center of the country, it's my dream to try this freshly made natural açaí one day. Here, where I live, freshly ground açaí is not common and we don't eat it with fish or food. we only eat it as industrialized ice cream, which is very different from the original.
6:46 the net is not for the birds, is for the children not fall from the balcony. Its used all over Brazil; I think other countries should adopt this practice
@1:03 Belém in Portugal is actually a district/neighborhood of Lisbon along the river. Known for the Tower of Belém, the monastery and of course *_Pastéis de Belém_* the bakery that invented the egg tart. 👍
Belem isn't really "smack in the middle of the Amazon jungle". It's realtively close to the coast, only about 70 miles from the Atlantic Ocean, and it's on the bay of Marajó. But you're right, the climate is like the jungle. Rains every day.
