If Cody shaved his beard nobody would listen to him because they'd be too distracted by his beauty. I'm sure that's one reason why he grew it! Great interview, Cody.
Would you stay at a church who uses The Gospel Coalition material and go to their conferences? You guys mentioned woke churches so I thought I would ask about TGC.
Started listening, expecting a helpful rebuke of the antisemitism among Christians on the Right, but had to check out after only a few minutes in. If the only nuance you're willing to afford is to Christians on the political right, you are elbowing out other Christians who share your concern on this topic. Hard pass.
@@realmikolson A clear demarcation was drawn at 2.5 minutes in, with a rebuke of pastors for their good faith attempts to care for the spiritual AND physical health of their people during a confusing pandemic. If epidemiologists were struggling to keep up with Covid, pastors certainly should be offered some grace on that point. They were doing the best that they could with the information they were given, not bowing to a “tyrannical government”. I couldn’t stomach the mischaracterization of good, Christian people to get to something I actually agree with you on. We can assume the correct Christian response to Webbon and Co. for their holocaust denial, but we shouldn’t assume the same for Covid and “woke”. Unlike the holocaust, these matters are far too new and nuanced to be drawing lines and making rebukes.

Yes! So glad to see this collab.
Your guest has something in common with Joel Webben, they both left the Act 29 network, although in different ways.
@@johntobey1558 so did I!
