I know the song is from a game, one of the best games of all time, but this music is just amazing. Words can't do it justice I think and this mix is absolutely beautiful.

Glenn Stafford wrote the Latin part, and Jason Hayes wrote the French choir. I received a reply from Hayes, but Mr. Stafford had little to no online presence. My eventual conclusion was that somebody on Jason Hayes' personal forum over ten years ago posted a set of the lyrics *which contained* the correct French supplied by Hayes, using their best guess at the Latin, and that has been circulated ever since even though it clearly doesn't line up with what the vocalist does. Nor are the Latin words phonetically the same between versions/games. I am certain now that although Mr. Hayes wrote French lyrics, Mr. Stafford used an industry standard for Latin: Mixing common phrases and gibberish. Hardly anyone speaks Latin anymore, so ominous chanting or singing in the language isn't really checked.
