My best friend and I were 14 too when we met...he left me to find himself at 21....we didn't speak for 22 years. Out of nowhere he re-entered my life and we picked right back up. I love Allie’s view but yours just hit different. I hope she knows how special you are. Not a lot of men would be so intentional. The New York trip I was like if she doesn’t see how much he loves she is blind and it is a recurring theme that I am so happy it was what we were seeing. Granted not everyone can take trips but I hope more men learn from you that listening and being intentional can be amazing. Women are just built that way more often. The one that most impacted him though was seeing her pray inside the church. He once attempted to date Allie in his teenage years but it didn't push through. They eventually went separate ways and they were not talking for a long time.
Allie used to have a crush on Austin, too.

Seeing both videos did make me open my eyes a bit. Idk if y’all are around the same age as me (I’m turning 25 next month). I’ve been single since I was about 20-21 years old. Long story short during my undergraduate years in college I had the worst dating experience after dating one guy. There were so many red flags that I completely ignored and still to this day I feel like an idiot and that I’m at fault. Ever since then, I’ve made a vow that I will never dated, be in a relationship, get married, or have children. I rather be alone and single for the rest of my life. On top of that I know I don’t have what a guy wants or is looking for in someone. I’ve come to terms with that. Plus social media as a whole has made it clear that relationships and marriage is the worst thing in the world.
Now I’m about to be 25 and I’m thinking about wanting to try giving dating another shot. But I’m so scared. It’s been a long time since I’ve been on date. Watching these videos gives me a slight bit of hope.
That "guy" wasn't the right one for YOU. He is out there sometimes you find it when you are not aware or looking. Don't ever settle. Life is too short and you are worth it. 💙

Watching this really makes me want a relationship like this for my boys. My oldest 2 are 17 and 15 and we've asked them to dedicate this time of their lives to growing in their relationship with God. That way they can be the best versions of themselves and when it is timed prepared to take that leadership role in their relationship. We also encourage courting and not dating because there's another level of intentionality to it. Thank you for choosing God to be your foundation and not your feelings.

I'm a teenage girl, and my parent have always told us (me and my sisters) that in order to find someone that will love you forever and unconditionally, we need to find someone that will put God over ourselves, and that God needs to be what our relationship is based upon. The way I see it, God is love, so when we feel love for another person, God is working in that relationship😊
