Free falling in an elevator is my worst nightmare, but I rode this last week and felt so accomplished. Although my eyes were closed 70% of the time, screamed my lungs out, and held on to whatever I could grab for dear life lol.
Same! I was holding onto my brother the entire ride and he said it hurt. The main reason I went on that ride is because I love guardians of the galaxy but with my closed eyes and screaming I didn't pay attention to anything 😭
I went to California Adventure today, and I went on this ride with no prior knowledge of it. I have literally never heard anyone talk about it before, and I was pleasantly surprised.
I love this limited version of this ride. It's so fun. I know people say they prefer tower of terror but I prefer gaurdians. It's more exciting with fun music and lights. And Monsters after Dark is just as great
I went on this ride with my sister and I had no idea what this ride was, and my god was I terrified. I was all anxious that this was a dropper ride and when I asked one the cast members he said no, but as soon as everyone was in their seats he said it was a dropper ride and I started to freak out. I held onto some random guy for the ride and did not open my eyes until the ride was over
@@Pilot-lk7xj Disney has been so greedy that they never even noticed that literally almost every change they made to CALIFORNIA adventure is not even California themed. The only 2 California themed changes we ever got were both Sunshine Plaza turning into Buena Vista Street and Condor Flats turning into the Grizzly Peak Airfield. However, I don’t know why, but the only 2 non-California themed changes I approve of are the sun wheel turning into Mickey’s Fun Wheel and the Orange Stinger turning into the Silly Simphony Swings. But everything else…just SERIOUSLY annoying
Plus, the monsters after dark version of mission breakout ALSO brings back 3 other things from tower of terror other than just the metal drop sound effect: 1. The blue lights on the tower at nighttime 2. The boiler room ambience in the line room that used to be themed to the boiler room 3. The elevator noises for when you drop up and down
@@Pilot-lk7xj And no, I’m not giving up on the name of the park because there’s no way I’m giving up on someday convincing Disney to make more than just 2 California themed changes again. Just because they are like this only as of right now doesn’t mean they will stay like this forever

In my head canon after Rocket and Groot went back to the ship, all of the staff at The Collector's Fortress somehow managed to put all the creatures back in their cages while Apheta and the others are worried on the Collector's reaction to what happened
I finally rode this for the very first time a couple weeks ago, and I usually put my leg trough my backpacks strap so it doesn’t fly out of rides Good thing I did for this one too, when we fell, my backpack flew UP! It was crazy and if I wanted screaming my head off in fear I’d definitely be amazed
@@laurenpunch1053 just because it has a better storyline doesnt make it better. GOTG is way more thrilling. When I went on tower terror is very underwhelming

This ride is not a true free fall. It is speed controlled.

Well from what I can tell the drop sequence starts instantly rather than slowly climbing to the top for the show scenes
@@ethanshackleton Guardians always does that. The drop sequence itself is the same as the one for Born to be Wild.

Sick and tired of this ride, my 3 and 7 years old looped this ride at least 6 times. Oogie boogie night had no wait times.

Tower of terror only has 42 seconds worth of drops. Guardians has 92-96 seconds of drops depending on the sequence.
Will always be tower of terror sorry.
