Our Loki is a 5.5 months old vizsla. We use a Martingale collar to avoid choking and specially good for vizslas as their necks are so slim…a Y-Harness, and a house leash always until he gets a bit older. Those thee have helped us A LOT with his training.
@@susankoch1404 Loki still pulls with the martingale, he is an adventurous puppy 😅, but at least it prevents choking. U-turns and sudden stops are helping us a lot to teach him to focus on us while walking, but he’s still figuring it out!🥲

Boone is a Vizsla and is now 7 months old. Such a puppie! Very loving. He knows basic commands and can even get one of his toys when I ask him to get it. We use the same Kong harness Willa uses. I like him carrying his own bags. I would enjoy the giveaway harness/collar to. We live in Tennessee. Thanks for the videos!

Sounds like Asher has a great setup for his important work as a service dog! Do you feel the need to use the e collar a lot still at 4? what instances warrant the use?

Hey, I also got a Vizsla 2 months ago. He's now 4 months old. And I'm heavily struggling with leash walking as soon as we step outside he turns into a dragging husky... He isnt paying any attention to me since everything outside is so much more interesting as I could ever be it seems. The "come" command does work very well though. He already knows every basic commands like sit, down, stay, come, look at me, and even heeling (at home) Did you experience something similar? Would appreciate any tips! ❤️
Yes definitely. Willa stayed on leash way past 4 months, she was distracted and hyper so she didn’t listen very well. That’s why we used the retractable leash to get her exercise. The indoor training before outside was necessary. Vizslas are so immature and rebellious for so long but she did grow out of it with daily training. aww asher is 4 and uses martingales, e collars and for service dog use sinec e he is a servcie dog we use the onetigris gardian harness

@ yes we use the e collar for hiking we just don’t want his instincts to kick in if he sees something, he knows leave it command but just in case!
