- A fantastic and rare track from the Karate Kid soundtrack.I for one regard this song to be one of the best songs in the classic movie,capturing the essence of the 80's and having that feel good factor we experienced as teenagers when we had a crush on someone at high school :0).

When I was growing up in the 80's I knew it was a special time. The music, the movies, the quality of life. I'm proud to be the last generation of mankind to know what it feels like to adventure life without the certainty of cell phones and internet. The most fun times I've ever had were random unplanned events from that thing called "life".
Absolutely love this song. Perfect 80s reflect back on the great times as a kid song.

Ive just watched Karate Kid 1 and loved this track so youtubed it. Must agree that it did bring some good memories back. Good feel track. I was born in the 90's but must have been awsome to have been around in the 80's. Thanks to the uploader!!!

Despite I'm from 1993, I'v started to love the 80's music and It just make feel amusing from the inside that those times were so good. Wish I would lived them. Too bad those times are over for my generation :(.
@strawberryshake1889 Don't forget Adventures in Babysitting, another semi-classic, purely '80s film which provided a wonderful starring role for Elisabeth Shue in 1987! Not to mention Adventures in Babysitting was the first film Chris Columbus directed, coming after he wrote his "Spielberg trilogy" of still more '80s classics, Gremlins, Goonies and Young Sherlock Homes. It is a must-see for any fun '80s movie enthusiast!

Elizabeth Shue was the best looking girl in all the karate kid movies.
I don't think so I liked Tamlyn Tomita is way prettier. At least looked the right age. Elizabeth looked too old for the part

I lived in the 80's and it was fun. I was my teenage years and this track brought back alot of memories. I still think this Karate kid is better than the new karate kid. But I do think the new one is good to butttt not as good as the older ones.

@okayokayokayokayboh In the immortal words of Daniel Larusso, hey, it's the '80s! I was blessed to see this movie in the theater when I was 7 years old and part II 2 years later! But I stayed away from part 3, everyone could tell it was a stinker. So I was aged 3 to 13 in the '80s and it was definitely a great time to be a kid. Look on the bright side, you don't have to miss the '80s like those of us who lived it. Oddly enough I listened to a lot of '50s music and watched '70s SNL reruns then!

This movie marked that era... With great sadness we learned that the director of Rocky and The Karate Kid, John Avildsen passed away on July 16, 2017! He did not have a great budget for both movies but due to his great talent, he made both a successful franchise that is considered a landmark for the 80's... some fans asked why Shue (Ali) did not appear on the sequels, and it was not John's choice, the Producers did not want to pay for her role on KK2 (what a big mistake)...

it just seems like music in the 80's never missed. maybe it's because it's a decade that was so awesome compared to later decades. nothing can top the 80's. people were so care free, michael jackson had everybody moonwalking, movies were better and so were the songs. this entire scene of them being at the park was just a scene you can always go back and watch and say 'i wanna be at that park with allie and daniel and her sinister girlfriends so bad...at night'. lol
what a movie this was i really enjoy watching this movie.
My most favorite song in all of The Karate Kid series. Even when I'm watching the continuation series Cobra Kai, I think of this song.

@robboncc1701 Karate Kid has a surprisingly good bunch of songs on the soundtrack. It's hard to think of another film that had this many memorable new tunes attached to it. It seems like most films are lucky if they can introduce just one catchy song (e.g., Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, Goonies). Karate Kid was up there with the best of the Brat Pack movies for tracking in good tunes.

@strawberryshake1889 Oh, and Elisabeth Shue was 20 in the movie, only 2 years younger than Macchio. What is it with Hollywood and people old enough to have graduated college playing high-schoolers? The gender age gap got worse with each sequel, with Kumiko being 4 years younger and Jessica Andrews being 10 years younger! Not to mention she only turned 17 the year part 3 came out. That must be why they only agreed to be "just friends" in part 3. They just needed a pretty girl to show in the ads.
