It depends if they actually tried the "cool" way of playing them. If Chaos tried to go full rushdown and did cool setups and mixups and the Ram main did get creative, it's not your fault, is just that they are really good. But if you lose for Chaos zoning you and somehow getting away with it during all the match and Ram did the classic 236 S + 236 HS and another few random hits for a wallbreak everytime, yeah, that was a kinda disappointing way to lose, because they did go for the easy way, but everyone can play the way they like the most I guess, this is an opinion from a random.
I'm 6 days late but it depends on the MU. If you were to play, say, goldlewis, then no. The odds are stacked against you and nothing will go in your favor unless you fight like hell and play smart. If you were playing someone just as "busted" as either character (i.e Nago, Sol) then yea, it was a skill issue. Don't let that fact drag you down though, the whole goal of fighting games is growth and becoming your best self.

Ram was a monster in Xrd. Not being able to control the swords once deployed is kind of a bummer. She's still great though.
