The sims 3 wins for me because there’s a laundry mat lot you can put down, laundry machines are not just in one pack, they can be found in 3 separate packs. Also the fact that they actually put detergent and dryer sheets in the machines make me love it so much more.
You forgot this detail in Sims 4. Sims can watch the laundry or dryer spin to increase their fun, but if watched for too long, they'll get a dazed moodlet that makes them dizzy.
4:59 LMAO as someone whose washing machine has broken down multiple times, this makes perfect sense to me. the puddle occurs before any visible leak because the water is coming from behind and under the machine. 0/10 would recommend for ones enemies
@Sitycims In The Sims 3, a Door tends to block Objects from spawning, so it placed the clothing on the next available tile. and the door you used is a door that actually requires Two Tiles to place. so the clothing couldn't spawn there
I have to give it to Sims 3 here, because (like someone else pointed out), they did not dedicate laundry to one pack, but it came with so much more in several packs, but if you wanted even more, they offered more at the Sims 3 Store (which I acquired for free by viewing ads). Of course, neither has realistic animations, but if Sims 2 would have added laundry, judging by all the game mechanics, physics and animations overall, they would have won❣🙃🤣🥰
Overall, The Sims 3 wins because it doesn't have an ENTIRE pack dedicated to laundry. It was just a side feature in some packs and it still managed to add almost as much detail as The Sims 4, which charges you $10 for the privilege of having a BASIC chore in your game.

And about laundry, you don't talk about moodlets at all. And when sim in ts4 freshly change in the clothes that were dried, smells good and just put away, other sim can sniff the person who's wearing the fresh clothes. This interaction is for a limited time.

Sims 4 for the animation but Sims 3 for the machine varieties lol. I hate the machines in Sims 4 because they constantly break or randomly stop working for some reason and I always have to replace them. :/
One thing worth mentioning is that, at least on TS4, you don't get laundry piles unless the house has a washing device, so just having the pack isn't going to force you to buy a washer.

The fact they created the sims 4 laundry day stuff just for that is hilarious
In TS3, Sims also gain the moodlet "clean sheets" when sleeping in beds after doing laundry, that is a nice touch

In Sims 3, you can drag and drop clothes to the basket or machines. You can also drag and drop clothes to another clothes to create piles of clothes
You can also do this in sims 4
TS4 has also “insert coin“ versions of the washing machine and dryer, and a laundromat in a cafe works quite well.

Get the old fashioned one the bucket lol. It will increase your sim's fitness but there's a chance to get uncomfortable moodlet for sore hands
