RUC Andrew Johnston 7-7-1975

On 7 July 1977 the IRA murdered Andrew Johnston, 26. Married father of a baby girl. RUC police detective investigating after caretaker John McConnell noticed a break-in at Carrick School, Lurgan, Co Armagh, Northern Ireland, during a routine check in the school holidays.
Booby trap exploded in desk of Principal Allister Black, Unionist UUUP member. Another policeman and the caretaker were injured. Mr Black was not present
