My husband passed in 2022. He was a Superior court judge. He had to step down from the bench due to mental decline due to a brain disease.
He was humiliated. He was no longer able to do his job. Never a question to continue to serve the people. Heartbreaking. I cannot imagine pushing my husband to stick it out. He remembered forgetting the law and said this brain no longer needs to be on the bench.
