This is a fantastic camera but has one major flaw that I envisage will frustrate many videographers in the field. That is the lack of a separate on/off button. From using my AX100, which whilst different is similar in terms of the screen being opened or the viewfinder being pulled back activating the camera into ON mode. However, I have found that whilst initially using the screen, I wish to quickly switch to the viewfinder whilst shooting and shut the screen and....the camera goes off and I lose the shot. The reason being that in my hurry to get the shot, I opened the screen but forgot to pull out the viewfinder....the X70 is going to suffer from the same dilemma. Not good and an oversight in my opinion.
This camera is fantastic but was clearly designed by engineers not videographers. I would like to buy this camera to replace my NX70, but will probably not because of that hindrance - and it's a hindrance that will only become apparent by using it in the field (in similar circumstances to myself). For people who will by and large use the screen and not the viewfinder, this feedback/opinion will not apply to you and you will certainly have a very nice camera in your kit bag. Similarly, if this is going to be your ONLY camera, then you will probably get used to this 'hindrance' and will discipline yourself to pull/push the viewfinder to switch the camera on/off rather than opening the screen to do so and will only use the screen when needed.
