Belton is a city in the U.S. state of Texas. Belton is the county seat of Bell County and is the fifth largest city in the Killeen-Temple metropolitan area. In 2020, the population of Belton was 23,054,[4] and the metro region had a population of 450,051[5] according to US Census estimates.

In the beginning, thats belton jr high. That was my 6th and 7th grade school. When my father went there it was the high school.

Bell County is growing fast and most of the big box stores and restaurants are on I-14 in Harker Heights or Killeen and more on the Temple side of the region. Bought a place on Stillhouse Hollow Lake on the Harker Heights side of the lake. Some great lakeside parks on both area lakes with Temple Lake Park, Miller Springs, Westcliff Park, Dana Peak Park, Chalk Ridge Falls, and Stillhouse Park. Though, the lake levels are low with the drought now, but people have been catching big largemouth bass on Stillhouse Hollow and the water is clear enough that there is dive shop. Like Belton's historic downtown and it's good to see Temple's downtown get some renovations.

When I moved there in 2013 it was only 18,000
