My last car was a GK Fit, there weren't too many suspension options when I got it and the common thing was to run Koni Orange for the GE with your choice of lowering springs. Supposedly they were not quite centered in the range of travel for the rears, but they worked fine until they wore out. By that time the Honda sport suspension was released for the GK, and it felt significantly better on the damping. Especially for a daily, the moderate drop of the factory sport setup worked better for me.

The main problem no company makes more than 2" exhaust for Fits, and to make a custom one is not easy where it bends a lot passing over rear axle. Would love if some company makes 2.5-3". Mine is k24a2 Swapped Fit plus its a turbo. I have to make a cutout butterfly valve becoz turbo would just choke with 2.5". I once tried 3" exhaust but the space is so tight , it rubbed with car body when my family was onboard and it freaked them out that something bad is happening under the car. So had to shift back to 2.5" with varex muffler plus another open cutout to air. now i have control over sound/power. with varex muffler its quiet just like a stock car, but with open ,, wow
Re: intake tube...at full throttle it's using open loop anyways where it doesn't care what the MAF says? I've also been on the TL-S throttle body and intake setup on my Accord which I think is like a 8mm difference and the ECU doesn't care. It just trims the fuel a few percent and keeps going.

I have your mounts on my 2012 Civic Si and they rock!
Thanks for your support!
Lol agree about the arm out the window..too many crazy fracks out here.
OK, so we're not that paranoid.
my manual GE8 has a slight rod knock and AC just went out... tempting to go with this route!
just finished watching the donut k swap video and now I get to watch this!
Cool huh? We are doing a Donut review video soon.
Shout out from Phoenix!! Awesome build!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥 exciting!!!
I envy this ride. I have the same color fit but its the sport 5 speed with the original engine @210k. Its my favorite whip
spoon said so long ago, fit best race car for circuit. gas tank in the middle. so happy to see this happen
Honda best motor is the K24, 5 speed is all you need. 6 speed is overated and not necessary. My 06 RSX type S, I shift 2nd, 4th and 6th gear. Wished it came with the k24 motor.
Let's go!!!🎉
We went!!
@@VTECAcademythis was awesome
Brian's commentary was just hilarious in this video... Talk of stalling the car in front of girls!!!! lol Good Stuff.
The rev hang is for emissions. My 5 speed Jeep Patriot also does it.
whats a swap like this cost? I have a fit and always thought it needed more power
Very nice build and man im already sweating thinkg of the tripple didget out temp
What a little beauty of a car
This guy is a legend awesome car
Put a brand new sock for your feet on your shift knob to help with heat. Works for me
😂 Totally! Although we would use a dirty one for the aesthetic.
@@VTECAcademy Baby socks or sweat bands are the best on my metal knob!
Haven a k24a fg2 an knowing how it runs, i bet this has to be fun car. I think the 6 speed would be better then the 5 speed. I love the 8th gen si stock transmission gear ratios woth the k24a. Pulls so good in every gear. Love what u do man, keep the great fun coming.
Nah the 5- speed it’s better it’s stronger and more reliable and it allows you to stay in power range longer because of the longer gear ratio
@@JoseRodriguez-gq3kk yes I've heard this is true, but for a na car the 6 speed I believe would definitely be a better set-up in this car of his. Now if he went turbo or something for all out speed then yes the 5 speed is better. But the 6 speed is perfect for na.
Wow! This is awesome. I agree with you. Once the A/C is installed, enjoy this K24 installed Honda Fit to the upmost.
Omg im gonna be watching this channel like a hawk
Loving the MaxBoost hat, OG!!!
Your in az I’m in buckeye I hope to see this In the far west valley driving ❤❤❤❤
Sleeper city… K swapped Fit 🙌🏻
My last car was a GK Fit, there weren't too many suspension options when I got it and the common thing was to run Koni Orange for the GE with your choice of lowering springs. Supposedly they were not quite centered in the range of travel for the rears, but they worked fine until they wore out. By that time the Honda sport suspension was released for the GK, and it felt significantly better on the damping.
I'd be curious to see someone try the GK factory parts on the GE, if the GE shocks work for both it stands to reason that the GK would as well. Especially for a daily, the moderate drop of the factory sport setup worked better for me.
I have tien street basis on my ge and it's great.
Should be making you shift knobs out of hard plastic for the Arizona heat
We will a some point. Delrin probably. The weighted shift knobs feel better though.
duct tape races is down the street from y'all , hopefully we see you this year in tucson its on the end of September ...
You know your stuff. Interesting build. I could never own a car with that level of rev hang.
Shameful Honda Si's have historically had so much rev hang when the Type R is almost devoid of it. Some company and almost the same engine.
one is designed to be enviormetnally conscious, the other isnt.. go figure.
Luckily Hondata and KTuner are around.
Looking for a 09-2010 Fit now. Definitely looking to K swap once I do.
Nice job, 👍👍👍👍👍
I put a glove on my metal shift knob to keep it cool during the hot days.
We thought about making a knobdom, a rubber shift knob insulator.
With a/c and apple car play That’s a perfect daily driver
Oh, hell yeah.
I Enjoyed this simple nice drive Review , this Sleeper car with the Best 4 cylinder engine in car industry. pure bliss. I love to see if you guys do Honda CRZ with K-swap . that my goal once I get crz in the future.
assume review again and love keep watching more videos
CRZ coming.
@@VTECAcademy you made internet happier place for Honda enthusiasts/Car enthusiasts in general , thank you 🙏 I hope to get my CRZ and K series
I want to do this! Where do I drop off my Fit?
When are you all going to create k swap kit for 6 gen accords v6?
I think its time to do a supercharged K24 GK5 FIT Brian!!!
08 tsx was a k24 A2? Not a Z
A2 Has variable timing on both exhaust and intake cams
Hilarious, you're literally driving the SAME tuning route I drive all the time for my tuner Dave for logging. Hilarious Brian. Glad this has turned out great.
LITERALLY SAME ROUTE HAHAHAHA soo funny. Much love
Where can we find the parts list and possibly a guide to install?
Sure do wish I could find another 93 integra... & no a/c is a deal breaker ..100%
I have a 2010 fit ready to swap with Hasport Mounts. What did you all do to the stock fit box? And which shift cables were used? Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks Brian
Brian: I'd hate to lose all this stuff and work. *Does another aggressive pull*
If you don't mind me asking what shifter box and shifter cables did you run when doing the conversion?
DUDE, this was an awesome vid! I think we have to swap my mom (this is jesse btw) Helen's fit! So cool. Also, Sign me up for a white shift knob! Can you do toyota thread pitch? hahah
Honda ppl love fits. Bring it back and elements too - stick
Do K24A swap on 9th gen accord sedan sport and lx have manual option to make it easier and the 9th gen got the wrong k24 (W) would love to see one that was built for a sleeper
Could this be CA Smog Legal?
Always looking for that sixth gear when there is none :D. Just a normal day in car guy life.
L15b7 or k swap? Now that you have driven both.
At the moment, K24 for the ease of the swap currently. But that could be different in the near future.
I cured two hot shifter knobs by covering them. With blue suede Puma Future Cat baby shoes. 😂
I was thinking of producing a couple of shift knob covers.
I have a manual 09 fit bone stock. Would I have to do about the same amount of work on mine like you did yours for the conversion?
