- The Boeing 777-300ER is one long, heavy jet and in some destinations like St. Maarten's Princess Juliana Intl, we must calculate our take off performance carefully whilst setting the aircraft up accurately.
In this video, we discuss Short Runway take off in the PMDG 777-300ER for Microsoft Flight Simulator and then demonstrate a Flap 20 take off with terrain avoidance and flap retraction too!

That retro livery is beautiful, and the sheer power of the jet on takeoff is insane, the acceleration to 80kts was ridiculous
@@TazerXI holding those brakes for just another couple of seconds with toga makes a heck of a difference 😎
On a F20 takeoff in the 777 you can skip the retraction to F15 and go straight to F5. Makes the departure that little less busy :)
awesome I love this retro livery it was good margin at runway so how short is it possible take off maybe about runway 1700m
Wow damn, I had a flaps 20 takeoff on a 777-300ER in Seattle, we were headed for Doha. It was unexpected because Seattle has pretty long runways if I am not mistaken.
@@Jetset_hd long runway yes, but heavy and there needs to be a safety margin too
