  • For those of you who want to do Long Haul, without having the time to do a 14hr flight, Time Acceleration and the PMDG 777-300ERs Auto Cruise and Auto Step Climb feature is pretty neat and worth exploring.
In this video I not only show you how to use it, but as a BONUS I also show you how to set a Constant Mach during cruise in the FMC too

Important Tip - make sure you altitude setting on your MCP remains the same when you get to cruise. It will automatically change for you with auto step climb!

I already had my keyboard settings for the 737 and it works for the 777. I just have the < & > keys set to decrease and increase time acceleration.

Great feature. Is this allowed when flying a route in your VA?

@@AndrewSanderson152 yes it is :) I appreciate not everyone has the time to sit down for 14hrs and run a flight in real time - so we allow it

Ok i really need some help so i am going to try it here. I have a problem when i try to taxi and i try to increase my trust. I can see the gray lines change on my ecam, and the engines work. However my engine output simply does not increase. I have had this issue on this pc only (not on my laptop where it works fine) i use the trust master throttle thing. And on the forum i see that someone has the same issue (i think) but i have tried making a account multiple times but i never get a email. They did post a png by their post but cant download it since i cant make a account. So a am not a 100% sure. Can someone give me any tips. I know i am doing everything thing good because it works on my laptop. What should i do?

Hmm// interesting for what fly long flights if we skip them by time acceleration... it is self-deception.

Sometimes you work a ton and don't get a lot of free time, but still wanna enjoy your 777, so you use time compression to get in some flying time. Other times, you just don't feel like having your computer be a space heater for 16 hours. It's a good feature to have. You don't have to use it.

@@Malloriak precisely as Obtain says, not everyone has the time or desire to do a 14hr flight in real time - but this gives them the option to still do a Heathrow to Tokyo for example and enjoy it
