- The last few days the internet has gone crazy over RUclips's newest secret. Typing " / wathc " or " / watc " brings you to a pretty creepy video. Who put it there? Today we find out.

So regarding the “Yop” video:
It was actually a known thing for quite some time before the 666 thing became all viral. When you changed the “watch” part in the URL to “wathc”, it would redirect to that exact yop video. This happened to overlap with the “nickroll” thing where when you changed it to “wathc” it would redirect to a clip of Timeworks singing Never Gonna Give You Up, like you described in the video. And now it looks like its changed again, instead leading to the 666 video everyone is freaking out about.
The 3 reasons why the video has so many views is:
1. Since it overlapped with the nickroll thing, people were accidentally led to that video.
2. A year ago a Korean RUclipsr named Story covered this phenomenon on his “Top 14 RUclips features you didn’t know about” video, where he described that when you changed the “watch” in the URL of any video to “wathc”, it would lead to this mysterious video called “yop was here”. This is also the reason why the yop video has so many Korean users in the comments.
3. Since it is intricately connected to the more recent 666 phenomenon, users who were investigating the aftermentioned 666 thing also happened to stumble upon the yop video by looking deeper into 666’s channel.

minor correction: youtubes old url system used /user/[channel name] instead of /c/[channel name]. you say in the video it used /[channel name]. if you do /[channel name] it will redirect to a /c/ or /user/ link with the same channel name.

the creepy baby video doesnt look creepy tbh, it just looks cringe and funny. but with the audio it makes it horrifying. music changes the theme.
Agreed, the baby video isn't that creepy just with the music it tricks ur subconscious into thinking there is danger or smth cuz the music sounds off and creepy, but If you replace the music with a Nintendo theme song it would change the mood or maybe look funny instead of creepy. Context plays a huge role cuz in Context the video is supposed to be creepy, what of they video was just a funny meme? That would make it feel different

Actually Yop and iluomo aren't the same. Yop's a different person (iluomo explains in their channel description). Also, switching the h and the c now brings you to a channel called Kairosking.

It’s a troll using the old feature of partners where you can make it that if you spell a video link you can change it to one of your videos and this is a take on of the creepy pasta of account 666
