    After a certain point an LS swap makes financial sense. Building a high hp short deck ford becomes an equivalent cost to a swap once you go beyond a basic top end or turbo kit. Couple that with the cost of a trans swap T-5s kinda suck and it all makes sense.

    I used to cringe at LS motors in a Mustang. Now I say why the fuck not! Can LS swap anything IMO. If you can have more power, reliability, less weight, and save money it just makes damn good sense!! I’d love to have an IRS in my Notch too! You got a bad ass ride my friend!🤘

    Okay okay okay, hold up. I'm going to stop you at 1:40. Coyotes are not BIIIIG motors compared to the LS1. The coyote weighs 444 lbs and a gen 2 which is what I have makes 435hp crank...your LS1 weighs 430 lbs and makes 345 crank. The gen 3 coyote makes 460hp. I think 15 pounds is acceptable for 115hp extra and a 7500 rpm redline. This swap is better over the old 5.0 but don't go thinking it's better than a coyote. The facts speak for themselves. The difference is a coyote costs $10k and you can get an LS1 for under a grand.

    • @jalisurr
      @jalisurr 5 лет назад +1

      Lol, this is an LS1 from 1998, there's lots of engines that make more power if you are willing to spend more. You could go LS3, which is down to 418 lbs and makes 430 crank if you get it out of a vette or camaro. Or for the same price as a Gen 3 Coyote crate engine you can get an LS3 crate engine with 525 crank.

    • @TheWhiteCometOfZion

      jalisurr - Could and if are cool words, but it's not so point invalid.

    • @snappeddegree7
      @snappeddegree7 5 лет назад +9

      I think he’s speaking in terms on actual physical space the engine takes up Ls motors are more compact because it’s a single in block cam so that makes the heads smaller. Vs coyote with quad cam and a lot bigger heads, just food for thought

    • @lb9gta307
      @lb9gta307 5 лет назад +4

      The Coyote is 4" wider than the LS.

    • @SuperSilvi1990
      @SuperSilvi1990 5 лет назад +4

      It's the actual physical size of the coyote that keeps it from being swapped into most cars. The coyote is wider and taller than a LS. Plus you can literally spend 1k and make 430hp at the wheels with a ls1 na. 300 bucks you can make 380ish with just a cam.
      They are good engines just a little overused like most 90-2000s engines.

    The IRS is great for grip driving. You can use it for drifting but without poly or delrin bushings, there is too much deformation or compliance with the suspension and the car becomes very unpredictable.

      That's funny, I always think of the fox body as the American version of the AE86.

      Nickel Reed. Yup, exactly.
      chicken or the egg. Fox body was released 4 years before AE86, 79 vs 83. So Toyota might have copied the over all shape. But then again Mustang refresh came in 87 and it looks like 83 Levin.
      Also rear half of 1973 Celica ‘liftback’ looks like exactly like a small 1969 Mustang fastback. The front half looks familiar too but i’m not sure off the top of my head which car. Maybe like a 69 Camaro bumper & grill with 4 headlights instead of 2. But Toyota added some cool turn signals that gave it class.
      Everyone copied the first gen 1968-75 Ford Escort (European model). You can see it in Nissan, Toyota, Honda.. everyone till the 80s.

      @@eugenebaker3682 It's just lazy and unnecessary. there's no "yes master" situation.. Unless you are refering to the fan boys that drop to their knees looking for a cock to suck everytime they hear "LS swap". If Ford had beat Ferarri back in the 60's with a Chevy motor in the back of that GT40 it would have been a hollow victory.

      @@edjackson4389 I find this hilarious because that "Ferrari beating monster GT40" used a push rod V8. The first one was literally a 289 pulled from a truck.
      LS's are highly overused but they are great powerplants. Just like 2js, sr20s, and k motors.

    Now he just has to pull the badges off and put chevy bowties on it also get a new vin number so when its looked up it comes back as a chevy being most of the car is chevy. I love that someone did this. He had to put that chevy engine and transmission in to get it running though because he would'nt have gone anywhere if he kept the original in it so damn good job im gonna be telling all my chevy buddies about it and pickin on my ford friends.
