Thank you both for cleaning up the beach. I always save the wide mouth juice bottles for my beach visits, just so I can fill them up with glass & trash. Nice find on the cross, looks like sterling silver & black onyx.

Great video guys. Thanks for using the Garrett’s. The ace apex is the detector I use. I find it easy to use and it seems to find just as much as other detectors. I go detecting as often as I can but really enjoy watching your videos when I can’t.

The crab was scary, but we think he made it out alive! Sometimes the tummy doesn’t want to cooperate.

Thanks for helping clean up the mess. As a metal detector myself it is amazing the trash we find.
I ran with an Apex for my first year of detecting. It finds stuff, brilliant on the beach but it did not do too well in 100 year old trashy parks. Also silver came up as different tones/numbers in the ground than out of the hole... so I only found 9 silver objects in that whole year. I switched detectors to a Vanquish and I have been having a blast ever since. 30+ silver objects in 5 months, 320 year old silver coin, 1300 year old penannular brooch. Never going back.
Pretty cool watching you pick up trash. That’s the thing to do to keep the beach nice. Keep up the good work.

Very cool little hunt. And the both of ya really cleaned up the beach that is a lot of trash. at least you found some toy cars and bling and a bit of change.. Most of all the fun. Like the Garrett hat and the Sun hat Bill wore is cool. my back of the neck gets Burned Bad.
Make sure you’re wearing sunblock, hat and sunglasses... and obviously a long sleeved shirt.
@@christinethestringbean most of the time I am with a baseball hat on and other times no hat.. over all I have not got to the point of second degree sunburn.. Luckily. But Bills Hat is really neat..

Yeah, I don't get why people don't throw their trash away, but I can go down the rabbit hole with a lot of other obvious common sense type of things, so... Glad you like the videos.

Seems as if Trash is still being dumped out a Sea.
My last trip to our Beach I ended up picking up Trash before the incoming tide took it out.
Beach was packed & only Beach Santa was picking up Trash.
So I really appreciate those who pick up Trash 💕🏖️

That was pretty fun watching the two of you... you guys are so 'So-Cal' but in a good way ;)... really enjoyed the Garrett day... I don't use my AT Max on the beach anymore but I might dust it off... slap on the std coil and try it.

Bill, I have not seen the much seaweed and trash at Seal Beach in a long time, I did hear that the ocean along the SoCal beaches turned over and the high tides caused the the trash to litter the beach, thank you Bill and Cupcake for a great job cleaning up Seal Beach.
Yeah, that is the worst we have seen it. I did not even know where to begin...went for plastic and sharp stuff. Figured it was the most important to remove. Thank you very much

It wouldn't be the same without Christine's car sounds, especially the police and ambulance sounds. Every time I find a car at the beach now I here Christine's voice making that sound.. it's very weird! Bill I have to say I actually really like that hat.. what style do they call it? It looks like it's very practical. This is one of the few times at the beach that you guys haven't found a ring that I can remember though. That means the next Beach search will be a score day.

I couldn't believe the crab got stuck in there! It was so sad, but we were able to free him which is the important part.
Nice on the save of the little crab, awesome job on the clean up. I think a video some day of you guys doing only a clean up on the beach or even the park be cool video.

I really like the Garrett Apex Christine is using because of the clear precise tones. How did you like it Christine?
I'm not a quick learner on things, so its been a bit of a learning curve for me. I favor the Vanquish for sure... I would need to give the Apex a little more time to get used to it.

Christine, two or three years ago my hair was as long as yours. I cut it off and donated it to children with cancer. I have kept my hair short ever since then.
Years ago, I donated my hair. I miss having short hair, but winter will soon be upon us and I don't like the idea of being cold.

I’ve been doing great with my garret at max, but always seem to have problems detecting the wet. Do you recommend the Minelab over the garrett for wet?

Bill, Columbia Sportswear has great lightweight UV long sleeve shirts. I wear one on full sun hunts as a cover shirt. Allows air flow to keep cool and prevents burning. Tell Christine I have a foreign legion hat like yours and love it. (Keeps my wife off my back.)

Quick question Bill what do you think about that Ace apex. How does it perform for you? I've heard pros and cons about it both. so I was thinking about getting one but I'm kind of on the fence.
Being a NOX fan and having issues in the past with the AT Pro, I was skeptical. However, The few times I have used it, it seems to do a great job finding targets. I only got it because a friend loves it and it is his favorite machine. I still prefer my NOX but I would grab it over other detectors I have. It did get a bit jumpy in some black sand at the beach but I probably did something wrong... I really have no complaints about it!

If I had the money to afford an equinox I would have one also. I just have the Simplex but I sure like it better than some of the other machines I've used it seems to do a really good job of finding things for me. Have a good week bill.
@@DigginSoCal Black sand may have magnetite in it which is a type of iron oxide. So, that is why your detector is jumpy. It is giving false readings because it is detecting all that sand. Yikes.

I have an at Pro and those Bell tones are usually quarters hey gold would be down around 50 or so and stuff below 35 is going to be iron oh did I mention the pull tabs are 55 so you pretty much have to dig them if you want to find gold

That wrist band thing that bill found is good for hanging extinction cords and keeping them neat in your garage. Im surprised that he hasn't seen or already had one.
I have a Garrett ace 400. My first good detector I bought was the Garrett ace 250. They seem to all have the different tones you gotta figure out but the numbers are pretty close. I watched a RUclips video on mine where the lady showed a bench test on all the different tones and numbers each thing you would normally find and I wrote it down on flash card to reference my finds. It helps if you don't know the detector all that great yet. Y'all might could start doing something like that for each other and the people watching on all the different brands y'all end up using in the videos.

I might be repeating this but I just bought a Garrett 400 and pinpointer and Christine suggested a ckg scoop which by the way thinks I love it
. I want to go ahead and get another detector so somebody can detect with me but I don't want to break the bank but I want one that's going to work which do you suggest
