I like that you are detecting along the walkways. I watch the other California channels and they walk right past the most travelled part of the beach to the wet sand. I always hunt where the most people are taking things out their pockets or just getting out of their cars. I found a pretty 925 crown ring right along the car park at my local park last week. It’s nice and heavy too.
@@christinethestringbean hey and the next time you 2 find a rock in your Scoop, like bill did and you have in another video and it could possibly be a Meteorite and worth some money but I know this is a Older video and To me Is odd that a rock is in among ALOT of Sand and could of fell from the sky and landed in the Sand but is tossed to the side and possibly worth more than enough to keep looking for them and have a magnet 🧲 with you to check it out.....

Bill, you be careful of the heat. Three weeks ago, while doing a ring recovery, I got heat exhaustion, passed out, and somehow fell and broke my foot. You guys might have to do what we do in Florida and only hunt early or late...not heat of the day. If it hadn't been a recovery, I wouldn't have been out when it was super hot.

That 10-cent Euro has the Brandenburg Gate of Berlin Germany on the reverse side. The last time I was in Germany there was still East and West Germany. 1979-81. Good and surprising find at Seal Beach. Pretty cool watching the Life Guards jogging out to their stations.

I find a lot of thin long flat metal in parking lots and I figured out one night that it must’ve been coming off a street sweeper. That night one came to a stop and I asked the guy if I could have a look at the sweeper bristles and sure enough they were different sizes in length but flat metal bristles. I recycle ♻️ them with all my other scrap metal. But I’m thinking about creating something out of them.
Thanks for the good vids and demos on how to hunt. Thanks to your excellent videos and tips and techniques, just got my first silver coin a 1927 R Italian 5 Lyra coin !!
The weight on both the Nox and the Deus 2 is fairly light. Bill has issues with his shoulders, and it's not too bad on him. It also depends on how long you're swinging the detector and how active you are prior to detecting. If you aren't super active, your shoulders and arms might get tired fairly quickly. Hope that helps. Side note: most detectors have a strap that goes across the forearm, but neither Bill or myself use it.
wow i think this video just had a bigger effect on me than any other video i've ever watched, for as long as i can remember i've had a rolling fantasy running through my head about the day i was going to finally be able to get a real detector and head down to Venice or Santa Monica beach where i was going to find piles of jewelry and other valuables people had lost because so cal beaches are why better then the other beaches in the country but because of the so cal thing i think your video was a reality check for me. you guys were swinging $2500 worth of detectors between the 2 of you and all you found was the same buck or two worth of change and a pile of trash like all the other videos i've seen , maybe it's a good thing i haven't been able to get a real detector......
I have been using the Nox for a long time and love it. I am still learning the Deus 2 so I am not ready to take a stand....that said, I am very pleased with it.

Great video yall, where were the two coins from that Bill found? Also the green mesh or fencing that yall are finding is most likely from the fenced peirs. However, it also be being used to hold or a horse rocks together for bouys. They some times use leftover fencing mesh to secure a couple of large rocks together and they will cut the excess off. This could explain the fencing you are finding. Congratulations to Karen.
I think a really cool ring find it was an engagement ring. An unusual find that I found was a shovel a foot and a half deep at the beach. Ohhhh, and then one time at a park I found an old toy train.
