      Mine's that the word to 'brag' comes from braguette which means codpiece (basically like a protective sports penis cup - it bulged out the private area in the Renaissance) - so bragging is literally having a dick-swinging contest.

    This guy just described what happened in Britain and all over the world when one group takes over cultural dominance from the native people. Pretty much every country has a similar history if you go back far enough. Just happened more recently in the US.
