- Was feeling a nostalgia trip so I turned the F1 and CLK race cars into the NFS High Stakes versions and made this. Good throwback

You paid more respect to the OG NFS games than EA ever did in 20 years.
The Classic NFS were my favorites and i'm stilling waiting for a spiritual successor to it, the nostalgic, visceral presentation, the remarkable simcade gameplay of Hot Pursuit 2, both of it. and those games are like no other, and that was why canada was the best in developing racing games back in the 90s. As much as I enjoy Underground and Most Wanted, Hot Pursuit 1, High Stakes, Black Box's Hot Pursuit 2, they are unmatched. Not even Gran Turismo and Forza nowadays can scratch that itch! We really need a thoroughbred successor to the Classic NFS, and bring back Prisco to make any original tunes for the new games, and bring back either Jim Conrad or Al Murdoch, or both, to narrate the cars, it would be a dream come true!

@@divecolosio4988 Actually EA rush the development of the NFS games making Black Box, Ghost Games and Criterion release unfinished games.
I miss the 90s NFS games Hot Pursuit 2 is the last good NFs in my opinion until NFS shift

Ahhhh, the feels THE FEELS. Talking about a gut check of emotion. Literally the best NFS ever made. Many hours just re-doing the Championships on High Stakes. Take me back to the late 90s. Please please please do more High Stakes style videos of just for the soundtrack.

@@Elinbe313 shifting too fast with a H pattern shifter, sometimes the game deliberately won't shift up so fast as to not make you faster than others using automatic gears or paddle shifters.
Or maybe OP just screwed up.
@@pedinhuh16 He screwed up, the game lets you shift as fast as possible.
@@Makavelli2127 not the case. Shifting too fast or not letting off the throttle enough will always grind it, I play with H pattern all the time now when I can use it

I love this, the classic NFS were some of my favorites and this is amazing! Although I would really preferred to have the original CLK-GTR instead of this particular CLK-GTR model, the former was timeless and epic, it really stuck with me as a kid.
It's a CLK-LM a better CLK-GTR.

@@tropixx_xlr1549 it's basically the same car with improved aerodynamics and centre of gravity which enabled it to be more successful than the GTR.

I would love to see more cars from NFS High Stakes presented like this. Just showing cars, the interior and exterior views while original OST music is playing. Jaguar XK8, Porsche 911 993 Turbo, Ferrari 550 and F50, Lamborghini Diablo, Chevy Corvette C5, Aston Martin DB7 and other cars. Would be great.

PS1 version of High Stakes might not have the better graphics and resolution of the PC version but it was my favorite version like Hot Pursuit 2 for the PS2 prefer it more to the PC

I hate how gran turismo always has 90 different trims for the civic but only one option for cars you’d actually want to drive, we only saw one version of the clk but at least it was in every game. They only do Lamborghini any justice.

totalmente! NFSMW e U2 são maravilhosos, mas nao tem nenhum melhor em termos de jogabilidade arcade e dificuldade do que o HS. Talvez um mod de algum jogo como assetto corsa, ja que esperar isso da EA seria burrice, mas seria insano!

The Need For Speed High Stakes being the 4th installment of NFS was by far the only one which was ahead of its time. Everything was comparatively great. Even all the sound tracks were so tempting. Combined with the most demanded cars and pursuit/career mod. It surprisingly developed the concept of other racing games. I would love to see a remake of the original game. Reliving the same would be a blessing.

Fam this is a brilliant idea!! You need to do a version of this for Need For Speed 3:Hot Pursuit. Although there was no iconic race like CLK-GTR VS F1, anything with a Diablo should work just fine 😉😉

See EA... you want to make a remake that a lot of us will love... remaster NFS 3, 4, and 5... or just pick one of the 3. Remaster the music, bring back those carear modes, remaster the models... done... all us 30 year old kids would eat that shit up.
How did you get custom livery opponent in custom race? Never got that to work.
Does GT7 have the XJR-15 and Lister Storm? Those were available for the PC release of High Stakes as official addons from EA. Free proto-DLC. (Boy they were way different back then.)
And now I'm wondering if copying vehicles from regional versions (Nissan Skyline in Japanese version and Holden in Australian one) to a licensed game of yours is copyright - violating
@@1997LotusEsprit From what I've seen on the old games' modding sites, tracks available for World Racing 2, and more recently on the Wreckfest workshop, I don't think EA gives a damn about what is done with their old High Stakes content.

I still think the 911 GT1, Lotus Elise GT1, and Nissan R390 GT1 should have been in High Stakes.
I agree, as well as the Pagani Zonda, Panoz GTR1 and cars from Project Gotham, they would be perfect for Classic NFS.

Why the CLK sound like the GT4 Lister Storm?
This is the CLK LM has a 5L V8
The GTR has the 6L V12
I believe they made around the same power. Presumably the V8 came later
This is V8 tho? It's an LM car while the GTR came with AMG's V12 (then Zonda came later with that V12 engine).
