  • The Eiffel tower we designed in the architectural design unit of the Technology Design course.
We first made the drawing by looking at the pictures of the Eiffel tower on the internet. Then we expanded it equally. We started to work using skewer rods of 2-3 mm thickness. We used silicone as adhesive. Hot silicone.
We divided the tower into sections and worked on it piece by piece.
You can do similar studies in the technology design course. It is possible to construct bridges, towers, etc. using these rods.
The Eiffel Tower (French: La tour Eiffel [la tuʀ ɛˈfɛl]) is an iron tower in Paris. The tower has also become the symbol of France all over the world. It takes its name from the French architect Gustave Eiffel, who built it.[1] One of the biggest tourist attractions, the Eiffel Tower attracts 6 million tourists a year. In 2002, the total number of visitors reached 200 million.
The Eiffel Tower was built by Gustave Eiffel's firm between 1887 and 1889 as the gateway to the Expo 1889 Paris fair, held within the framework of the 100th anniversary celebrations of the French Revolution. In fact, the architect of the tower is not Gustave Eiffel, but Stephen Sauvestre, who designed it on the order of the Swiss Maurice Koechlin. He made the first designs with his colleague Emile Nouguier. The construction costs of the tower, amounting to 7,739,401 Frank 31 Cents, are 1 million francs above Gustave Eiffel's estimates. When 1.9 million people visited in the 5 months before the opening date in 1889, 3/4 of the total cost was subtracted until the end of the year.
3,000 workers assembled 18,038 pieces of iron with 2.5 million rivets over 26 months. The fact that there were no fatalities is a surprising situation under the conditions of that day.
