Kinda weird how the parents have been in the country for over 30 years, and could not speak a lick of english( the son had to translate), and Huell only asked them the simplest question. Otherwise , yes its a wonderful family, the parents should be proud.
Hey KCET can you please put the original air date in the description of these great videos it will be interesting to know what year this was filmed, I assume it’s in the 1990s
they really should! but in the meantime if you google “visiting with huell howser episode list” a list of all the episodes and air dates comes up, this one was from july 20, 1997.
Nice interview, but one of the riders was holding the reins too high and too tight so that the horse was irritated (see the ears back all the time and the busy, frothing mouth). The angle puts the pressure of the bit on the side of the first of the back teeth instead of on the gums in front of those teeth, the toothless space between the back teeth and the front teeth where the bit goes. All good riders know to keep their hands low. If not, the bit can slip up and over the back teeth where the horse will clamp down on it to keep it from hurting its mouth; then you have a lot less control.
I was also wondering the same, my guess is they radio someone to swing by and pick it up, otherwise the smell would take over quick. But right now that's least of the problems, that entire area has been stunk up by bum camps taking over the city. The residents and businesses would love if all they had to worry about right now was some horse droppings.
What a wonderful family, thank you your service all of you.

I have a question. What do the officers do when the horse craps on a sidewalk or street?

Love the show though. See how much California has changed since it’s become a one party state.
When cops were allowed to enforce laws
They kicked out that one dude sleeping by the station, that entire area right now packed with bum camps and broken down RVs, now that's progress, lol!
