I watched my late dad unboxing that camera, new, back in 1976. I think. I still have that camera. Never serviced, no CLE whatsoever, it's been dropped on the floor several times, but somehow it still works as good as new. The older Minolta SRT 303 had the mirror lock up leaver course at that time Minolta still produced lenses (15mm comes to mind ;-) that had protruding element so that mirror had to give way; the lens came bundled with external viewfinder. That's the same reason Olympus planned and included mirror lock up leaver on their M-1 and OM1 cameras. However, in the end, they never produced lenses with protruding elements...
Minolta SRTs are just fantastic. I have several, but my favourite (and actually my every day carry) is the 101. If it was good enough for Eugene Smith, it sure is good enough for me.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nice review, nice camera :D
