Lovebites is my number one today, they are all I want in a metal band!
Yes, Asami here plays piano and she can play piano. She didn't want bore for two minutes. This song is the anthem of Ladies and WolfPack. Stay safe. Stay Lovebites.
Yes, she played chords on the one. If you listen carefully, you can hear it.
The high five and Miyako's smile does it all for me. This became my favorite. They're all happy. Look at Haruna, smiling as she keeps that speed up like it's nothing...amazing way to close on a high.
The white grand piano is from the concert Five of a kind from 2020. Asami also wears high heeled shoes. The electric piano and Asami in boots is from Daughters of the dawn, from 2019 (I think). The jackets are worn for the first song, then they come off. This is then last song of the show, the song Edge of the World goes into this - at the end of the Edge you can hear Asami shout "Last song".
Asami (Vocalist) can play piano, not at the same level as Miyako (Dark hair guitarist), but she definitively can. Moreover, she composed some of their songs (On the recent EP "Winds of transylvania" and "Paranoia"), and did it on piano because it's the only instrument she learnt.
and, Midori the other guitarist plays piano too.

Miyako and Midori diligently practice their harmonic guitar playing together, Miyako sees slight deviations when one of them gets too euphoric ....... hahaha. I am thrilled every time how both have their own style and yet always harmonize with each other and complement each other. Miho (Bass and Boss) does her job perfectly, would you replace a musician in this band? I think it's unbelievable that they met and found each other. Great reaction as always
It's very telling that the only one to visit Miyako's private studio space after it was finished was Midori for a bit. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they wrote their solos together after the initial song is written out since they always flow so well together and they do duets in a couple songs.
The other amazing thing to think about is that Lovebites themselves think they have something special together. Between this song and "When Destinies Align" it's pretty obvious they know they have a very rare opportunity on their hands.

Great reaction. You've only seen it once and found out what I've reviewed and noticed over and over again. Asami can not only sing, play the piano, conduct the audience , but also compose. Please watch the video "Winds of Transylvania" that was composed by her. You see that she has great potential. And you can see that the other members are constantly evolving too.

I did not see the changing of the scenery. The white piano is from “five of a kind” in 2020. The keyboard is from “daughters of the dawn” in 2019. They played this song in both shows. I love the interaction with each other and the public. Thank you for this reaction.

It's "A Frozen Serenade" for me even though "Epilogue" is good as well.
One of the things we love so much about this band is that the two guitarists are like night and day in style and personality, yet can get in complete synch with each other. Great review.

The bow at the end by the band to the fans shows humility and thanks them, this band truly loves their fans. Asami at 5' is like Napoleon, while petite and small in stature she projects total control and dominance on stage, she controls this show from the band to the crowd and never lets you forget it. Love the fist pump by Midori/Miyako which show real respect for one another although they are complete opposes they perform like they are one mind totally in sync. The one thing I take away is just how tight and in sync this band is especially LIVE. BTW, Would love a Haruna stick but if I had my choice I'll take a pic (love to see a poll of the Wolf-Pack and see if you are right about the drum stick over a pic). Nice reaction as always and despite their rapid rise these women never seem to take their fans for granted. There are no ego wars, no dramas, they get along and like one another and love their fans, what is there not to love about this group, oh and they are wicked good musicians who write, arrange and play great music often with uplifting lyrics.
The lyrics, songs, and performance techniques of Love Bites are all wonderful, but what I thought was the most wonderful was when I saw "their courtesy and humility towards the staff at the concert rehearsal"!
Even though it was a concert where they were the main characters, they thanked the staff just before the end.
All the members of Love Bites have very beautiful humanity.

Well Big Man thanks for the shout out a 9.1 score and a 39 minute review for one of my favourite Lovebites songs. I told you it was a show stopper so glad you liked it. Now I expect a 9.5 or up and bucket loads of tears now that you're ready to do the epic power ballad "Epilogue". once again great review till the next time

David, Miyako (guitarist black hair stage left) has played the piano for 28 of her 31 years; Midori (giitarist blond hair stage right) started to learn piano at the age of 2 but gave it up when she started to learn the guitar at 20. Haruna the drummer played the piano before she switch to the drums at 12 or 13 ( also fnding time to become a qualified chef and nutrionist) and in an interview she said she always composes using the piano. Asami the vocalist plays the piano to a reasonable level and uses it to compose. I don't now about Miho the bass player but I am sure that she also started off learning to play the piano at a very early age before switching to the bass - she also plays guitar and drums. All these women are classicallly trained multi-instrumentalists. Re Midori or Miyako making mistakes - Miyako missed a bend while playing 'Shadowmaker' and I think she hit two wrong notes during a solo on 'Epilogue' on the 'Daughters of the Dawn' DVD. I don't know about Midori, I haven't listened to her solos as carefully.
Well...in fact all girls in Lovebites plays the piano....Cheers

a big thanks to all of those keeping all of these amazing LOVEBITES songs alive here. a lot of them keep getting taken down only to have them re-posted by our persistent friends. hence the smaller number of views on some of them. still puzzles me though for my favorite band - to me they are on the musical mt. rushmore
It's not the bands fault, trust me. I'm sure the band would love more exposure to new viewers. Unfortunately it's not their decision....it's their record label and management company being stupid and ignorant.

Yeah, the audio and the majority of the footage is from their "Five of a Kind" DVD. But the poster decided to insert some footage of the same song from their "Daughter's of the Dawn" DVD (I have both). I don't have a problem with that. He did a good job with the editing. Anyway, you can have Haruna's drumstick. I prefer stage right guitarist, Midori's pick. I have the same model ESP Horizon she's playing here (It's currently my #1 "shredder"). A pick would be the perfect "show souvenir" to go with it. Enjoyed the reaction, by the way.

The singer Asami from what i understand can play some piano, she has been learning from Miyako the guitarist/pianist (apparently she played a little piano growing up too).
She also does some song writing for the band, an example are a couple songs of their latest EP, she used piano for it, according to an interview.
Haruna as always, amazing behind the kit, happy and smiling, such a fine musician!

Dude! that 5% realy exist!. What irks the shite outa me is when some react or clap out of time to the song. Rather than fist pump or clap on the 2 and 4, they doi on the 1and 3. Makes me wanna step down and shake the blighters in to sense. Great review as al ways. Truth about why the audience should be acknowledged. I know a local band that in essence, holds the audience in contempt! Yeah, right, there's a band destined for stardom...NOT! looking forward to the next review!

The video in dailymotion you watched was mostly from the Zepp 2020 (which is the one I think people wanted you to see with the grand piano and the big ending) but they put in random footage from 2019 concert in there for some reason.

Great review as always. Yes, I would choose a guitar pick 'cause I play guitar. The bassist uses her finger to play her bass guitar but she still has her signature picks. I guess just the guitar manufacture produces them for promotion or to sell. I enjoyed your review.

I think I have noticed Miyako make one mistake. In the song Break the Wall when she does the bends she misses one note slightly at one point, as if her finger slipped or something. But I'm no musician and don't really know what to listen to...
I have no idea I haven't seen that video yet. It happens to the best of us, I personally have never played a perfect show in my life. I like those little mistakes personally for 2 reasons: 1. It proves that the musician in question is actually playing live. 2. It proves that the musician is human, just like the rest of us.
Nothing wrong in slipping once... Just as long as you get back and hits the next note! 😃
Hey David. Nice score again. In my opinion, it's time that Lovebites have more international visibilty, with concerts and tours, breaking the wall of youtube. Don't know if that is a management strategy, but i think they are good enough to have big performances around the world, now. What do you think about it?

@@ChrisPage68 that's true. Of course Corona didn't help, and they already had a tour in Uk and France.. What i mean is that for some reason, ( at least so far i checked), most of metalheads, even the old ones, know Nemophila, Band Maid, Babymetal, Mary's blood, but still never heard about Lovebites, and thats weird. Maybe pandemic, maybe the band is still "young", ( founded 5 years ago), but they deserve more popoarity and fame❤️.

I don't know for sure if Asami was actually playing anything, other than the slide at the end, but she CAN play, so it is entirely possible! All of the members, including Haruna and Miho, are relatively proficient on the piano, though none of the others can touch Miyako's virtuosity on it!

Miho Miho Miho! Miho doesn't use picks till the end then she strums with a couple before throwing them into the crowd as used.
Sometimes I wish it wasn't so clean (for a love performance), but otherwise this is very good power metal. And a little more accessible than, say Veni Domine or Haven.

MIYAKO has been playing the piano since she was 3 or 5 years old, and MIYAKO is the best at it, but they all can play the piano as well :D

First time seeing this mix of footage from the Daughters of the Dawn and (most of the time) Five of a Kind live concerts with the audio track of the latter. Its fun, id rather see the individual performance but i liked it. Enjoyed your take as always, like i said before its one of a kind. I would give this song a 9+ too, I think it doesnt make my top 5 Lovebites songs, but its not that far from that.
I always think originality is overrated, if its good its good. If the song is original but sounds like a donkeys fart, im not gonna pretend it is the 8th wonder of the World. I hate some journalists from my country that do that TIME AFTER TIME. And then they retract points because it sounds a bit like this and that? That makes me ANGRY...

Midori and Miyako are both well-rounded guitarists. Great soloists, yes, but they shine when they lock down on whatever riff/melody/harmony they're playing for the song. No weaknesses whatsoever in their playing. I could make a long list of guitarists who don't understand the importance of this and are either sloppy soloists or sloppy riffers... and some who are both- sadly you'll find a lot of them at the top of the charts. But listening to LB puts me in a positive mood, so I won't.

It is inter cut with footage from their 2 Blu rays, Daughters of the Dawn, and 5 of a Kind. Sound is from 5 of a Kind though.

Don't go and drop $5000 on a Vintage Gibson 1974 Les Paul Deluxe Solid Body Electric Guitar right off the gun. Go to your local instrument store (Guitar Center, Sam Ash, etc) and find a decent guitar for under $200. OR, if they offer a 3-month rental package for like $120, do that instead. Rental packages will usually include everything you'll need (guitar, amp, cables, picks, strap), and there is no risk. Try it out for 3 months, if you don't like it or it's just not for you, you return it and there's no hassle. Once you know for a fact that you really want to pursue guitar, then you can drop some money on some good equipment (not great, just good). Don't be going after great equipment until you've been playing for at least a year or two.

@@terrahawk1977 I was making a point to David, when he questioned his wife as to why she watched repeats of the Big Bang Theory, something David made reference to in this reaction.
My comment had no connection to the song at all. If you want my opinion of the song, they are obviously a very talented group of musicians, but I'm not a fan of this type of music. Symphonic Metal, or however it is categorised, does nothing for me personally, but I can appreciate the talent needed to create it.
I watch repeats not big bang theory but I'm aware it's very popular. Every one is free to choose what they want to watch if it's a repeat or otherwise. If u not a fan that's fine but why make a point of telling everyone just scroll on by. Not everyone needs to know if u like or not

For the record, it IS the first time I've heard the song. Therefore the title is entirely accurate.
Of course, the link is back up on RUclips rather than this dreadful compilation. DailyMotion, is a good source for videos when RUclips, has removed live material. Another good one to look for videos is Bit Chute.
