Another classic! Your music never fails to bring stories and magic to my mind.
I can see an elderly woman sitting by her window, observing the dancing people below in the moonlit courtyard with a solemn expression. The people would not allow her to dance, believing her to be too old and frail. But in her room, she dresses in an old red and black dress, closes her eyes and begins her own dance.
She keeps dancing long after the music stops, fuelled by her inner passion, strength and love for the dance. And once she opens her eyes, she observes herself in the mirror and sees reflected back her youthful beauty and wisdom.
Though no one ever saw her dance this way, she was content in knowing the passion and life from her younger years would never fade away.

A lady of emerald green steps inside a ballroom. She sees two silhouettes swaying away to the violin's rhythm. The lady watches, amazed, unaware of the deceased's melodies. She flickers on the light, only to find that the dancing images have gone.
Now she is the one who dances to the song of the dead, pulled into the eternal shadow's dance; continuing on the dance, even when her body withers. Then, one autumn night, a lady of yellow walks in alongside her husband.
They see a paired shadow's dance, and decide to imitate the dance, waltzing away the hours to a captivating, yet old, and rotting, song. As the man pulls the lady into a dip, the shadow lady twirls, and turns on the light, disappearing, finally ending her pain - having the married couple suffer in the dance instead.
Years pass by, and the ballroom has been deserted, leaving the naïve couple to continue their forced dance of torture.

Over the years I've learned that once you dance waltzes the one test for is it a good song is "can you dance to it?" (except Theofilo Chantre's Flor Na Paul which I love but my partners get put off by). You had us on our feet here. Thank you very much.
