Guys .... guys ... let's just enjoy the beautiful music composed by this creative composer, ... and remember, before he "Belongs" to any country, territory, ethnicity, family, race, political party, etc. He's an "Individual" whose accomplishments are the result of his mindset, purposefulness and hard work.
thank you thank you for that comment :)
Well said! Like your comment.
Romanian nationalists are worried about ethnicity оf composer.
But "My Sweet and Tender Beast" is sold in the department of Russian Сulture on the shelf "Russian Music".
And it is correct.
Juraweg1987 That's because Russia tends to capitalise on the success of others since forever. Not trying to discriminate here, but the composer is clearly Romanian/Moldovan and stated this countless times.
Köszönet a megosztásért!
I like how op is still liking comments even after seven years

@@16autisticklowns That comment offended me and amazed me at the same time
Now 2022
Makes me sad I'll never dance with someone to this. Our century has good parts, but so sad ballroom dancing is so out of fashion :(
Seriously though :(
Out of fashion but it still exists. Certainly you'll be able to find such an event if you search for it
Fernando Matos oh I agree! There are businesses and events that thrive on these niches. And even if these events are hard to come across and inaccessible at where OP is located at, OP still has the option of taking ballroom dance classes/lessons. They might throw an event every once in a while for their students to showcase what they learn and have fun.
@@runway5338 I mean it will never be the same as those times. Huge luxurious ballrooms, fancy dresses, candle light, amazing updo's, a live band or orchestra. I didn't mean that it's completely inaccessible, I meant the experience is very difficult to replicate in modern days.
@@desire-for-madness Especially difficult to replicate for us middle class people. All that fancy stuff was for the rich people. No ballroom for us peasants. XD
This piece makes me wanna do one of two things: cry into my pillow at night or dance with a loved one whom I’m about to lose to a war
This is so hard. 💔
That second one 🙁😂
It sounds like you are dancing a last dance, right?
piece*
Me too
Yo, i completely misread this when i first saw it, so i thought you said " this makes me wanna dance with enemy im about to lose to in a war", which is a completely different sentiment, but also very cool.
It was 1968, I remember being late at dinner and she kept waiting, her curly hairs tucked behind her head while one strand was still covering her left eye she was sad maybe worried or a little angry, I remember her gown blue satin she glowed like lake in moonlight that day I promised her to give my everything to her.
It has been 58 years and she still appears there when couples dine and make promises.
Lovely!
Beautiful story
Lovely
So you’re not together?
You had me at curly hair since I have it too and no one talks about the beauty of it . But then you lost me in the rest . Is she your wife ? Is it an illusion or even an allusion to someone or something ?
Listening to this makes me wonder... how does a person compose something like this? The inspiration surely comes from another world.
Thanks for your comment Red. Well said.👌
And he wrote it in one night in a hotel room for the movie. Unbelievable!
Maybe he was longing for that beautiful woman in the solitude of his hotel room, on the night he composed it? Maybe the goddess of moon and wilderness called Artemis whispered the tune in his artistic ears and inspired him? Whatever happened at it inception, a spark of magic hit the world. So listening to it always recreates that magic, inspiring me to aspire for greatness, while enclosed in the solitude of my wonder-like world and waiting for the Artemis of my life.
everytime i listen to this masterpiece i am imagining fall oak/maple leaves in the air with the wind swirling in the mid air slowly falling then again getting picked up by the warm fall wind
It comes from modern Eastern Europe. It's a world of its own comparing to what we are familiar with in the worls of classical music I guess.
I only discovered it the other day..
What sentiments have I missed..
Feelings I didn't know I could have..

This waltz is from a movie, its central theme: ruclips.net/video/IQhBo9Pz0rw/видео.html
Can we just appreciate how hard this waltz goes? It's kinda slow dancing, nice and cozy, gives you time to know your partner's rhythm so you don't step on each other's toes, then 1:22 drops and BOOM, everyone's spinning and dipping like it's a tango, then a second dose at 2:19, and a third at 3:10 just to make sure you're completely out of breath by the times it ends. Fucking love it.
@ei-da? It was composed for a film, maybe that’s the reason why it’s so short…
Your comment made me laugh...because you are absolutely right! I can visualize a room full of people tackling this waltz for the first time and even the idea of it made me smile.
I was with you until the vulgarity….why? You made your points beautifully and then ……
Excellent interpretation of the feelings we all have and the pictures formed when we listen to this masterpiece

I can just picture a ghostly couple dancing alone in an old castle's ballroom on a moonlit night.
That’s literally gorgeous, the moonlight being the only thing lighting the room too. And the women’s dress flows beautifully behind her as she gets spun around

Doga was born on March 1, 1937 in the village of Mocra in the Rîbniţa district of the Moldavian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic . He made his debut in the composition art in 1963, with a string quartet, later becoming the author of many musical compositions, film and theater soundtracks.
After graduating from the Conservatoire in Chişinău , he performed as violoncellist in the Orchestra of the State Committee of the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic

@@aviapam3209 he said that he is romanian and that he supports the unification of moldova and romania
Wrong, he was born in Romania. In 1925-1938 the Republic of Moldova was Romania. Then the Russians stole the Republic of Moldova by force.
@@alincalistru3172 not actually. He was born in what is called today "Transnistria". That place belonged to romania in 1941-1944, when Ion Antonescu crossed the Dniester. Doga is from modern-day Moldova (or if you ask Russians from Transnistria), but not from Bessarabia

To all people fighting here, just stop praise the country you believe Eugen Doga is from or represents, just stop thinking that you are better than others in any sense only because you are from the same country as any great personality X. Try to show instead your own achievements, or , if you believe you have nothing to show the world, stop hidding in the back of great people from your own country. Being born in the same country with some X means nothing (really, nothing, trust me) about you and about how good you are. Concentrate more on the footprint you want to leave behind you.
Doga was Soviet composer. It's just a fact!
Eugen Doga is a romanian ethnic, born in Moldavia (Transnistria - now under russian occupation)... But like Octavian said, it doesn't matter the country. Countries and empires are ephemeral, the talent is forever (at least while the humanity last and can record stuff).
Stop lie! Transnistria is independent state. Evgeniy Doga is Soviet composer with Moldovian roots and Russian classic music school
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eugen_Doga
Transnistria is not an independent country. Nobody recognizes it. It is a part of Republic of Moldova (the origin country of Eugen Doga) where russians have some of their troops.

The first thing I think of when i hear this beautiful music is a Princess being forced to Marry a Prince who is a Beast Man of sorts. Shes scared and saddened to be given away to a family of Beasts to save her kingdom from Poverty. However when the Prince approaches her in the ballroom he asks her to a dance and she takes his paw from obligation. No matter how well dressed he is, she can't get past his beastly facade. Then he asks for a candle and a blindfold. He tells her the perfect Waltz can be done when two people trust one another and as they dance the candle will not go out. He asks her to trust him as even blinded he will do all to protect her and secure her happiness. When he puts on the blindfold shes still uncertain and sad. Then the music begins, they both hold the candle clasped between their hands and the other's hold each other. He tells her to trust him and hopes she will he happy with his dancing skills. The music picks up and they begin to waltz around the ballroom. The Princess is quite shocked how well he can dance despite the blindfold. He isn't holding her tightly and making sure not to scratch her with his claws. Soon she becomes fixated on him as their dance intensifies, their practically gliding on the floor together. She notices his ears moving back and forth, he's listening to everything around him and sensing not only the music but her movements. Shes entranced by his skills and begins to embrace him further as they continue they're dance until the music plays down. After the music stops the candle is still lit but the Princess notices some of the wax dropped onto the Prince's paw. Shes asks why didn't you drop the candle? He responds, then you would have been burned Princess, i told you, trust me and I will protect you. A servant takes the candle and wipes his paw while another takes off his blindfold. He is greeted not by the sad expression when the blindfold was put on but a genuine smile from the Princess.
