Great video. I just got quoted £450 to replace one spring on my Nissan X trail. I think that I can do this myself, after watching your video. Thank you. 😊
Great job, you’ve given me the confidence to know I can do this, and also I couldn’t stop laughing because of the perfect timing of the ice cream truck timing while your trying to do the video,OMG I was dying laughing 🤣 😂 thanks again 👊
I heard a train level crossing bell, suburban train sounding the whistle for the crossing and slowing to stop at the station and a stupid mobile phone ring tone that needed to be answered. It was a good movie though.
Great video, thank you! Loved the ice cream truck sounds. I suddenly became a kid again after hearing that. 🤣 Cue ice cream truck sounds right about 7:00.

Thanks, it confirmed it was an easy job for me to fit Patrol springs in an Elgrand. I suggest you positioned the jack wrong and it was pulling the control arm towards the front when lifting (mechanical physics). The jack should be sticking straight out to the side and it will be easier to line-up the parts next time.
A coworker of mine is trying to reassemble his left rear suspension after replacing tge lower ball joint. The bottom end of the new ball joint doesn't persue tge same orientation as the hole in the spindle. If we disconnect the forward control arm from the aft, with that spring, would we then be abll to compress the upper control arm and spindle to where they would come into a colinear orientation and mate up?
I am not sure why it would not have the orientation as hole in spindle. I wish I was there to see it and suggest. Sorry if I am no help, please post how you rectified the issue
@@FKCamVlogs Thank you for responding. The plant mechanic ,I guessed, hammered it into place over my weekend. The important thing is, he's back on the road. I do appreciate you answering just the same. God bless!
do you need to loosen the toe/camber concentric bolts for the rear link to lower it enough to get the spring out? i dont see in the video that you need to just confirming ty
Good question!! Measure the distance using measuring tape between tire and body and compare it with front. You will also notice your vehicle is bouncing more. You have asked something that I should have shown in my video.
20 min I don't think so. it may take more time to do that replace...ademas no se debe usar una chicharra para soltar un perno apretado mucho tiempo ya que puede Dakar la chicharra , le doy un 6 del uno al 10
Thanks, Greg ! You know how many DIYrs have proper tools? It's more like getting it done with you have. About footware, I couldn't agree less but it was a hot day. Thanks for pointing out in a positive way, duely noted and appreciated !!

Hi, would you happen to remember what the torque setting is? Thanks.
I believe 98 ft lbs
Having a hard time taking the bolt out. I raised it to different levels to find the sweet spot but no luck breaking it free. Any other suggestions?
Sorry to hear that, did yo use wd40 and let it sit? Leave the nut on and try to hammer it, may be it just to break loose a little
@FKCamVlogs thanks man, I will attempt it this weekend I appreciate the tips 👊
thanks so much, very helpful
You bet and thx for feed back !!

Thanks for visiting
Very quick process but be careful... Well done
Indeed...thank you
where these springs taller than OEM? If so was your rear up higher then your front end was it noticeable?
They were almost same size but heavy duty in comparison to oem.
@@FKCamVlogs thank you for replying. 👍👋👋
What is the sign a coil spring is bad. Btw thanks for sharing.👍🙏👍

@@FKCamVlogs thanks for the response, mine is pathfinder 2007 4.0 .👍👍👍
@@greenkale9435 you can also try driving on the road slow about 20-50 kph and windows open when you hear lots of squeaks means broken coil springs
Regular visual inspection can give a clue about a broken spring too.

Once wheel is in air and removed - 1 bolt, 5 minutes per side
Nice video, but you need proper tools and footwear.
