- The attempt in this video, shot for Chinese television failed, due to the tower falling.
The current record stands at 6 people on top of each others shoulders and was performed by the Fuyong Acrobatic Arts Group of Bao An District (all China) on the set of Zheng Da Zong Yi - Guinness World Records Special in Beijing, China, on 18 September 2007.

well, actually the structure is made like that specially to suffer the least damage possible if they fall, fall into a net made of human arms and heads from a few meters is softer than it sounds

It may just be the American in me, but I feel like OF COURSE the Chinese would be the ones to try to be get world fame for forming a Castell, and of course I have no doubt that the forces of fate weren't about to grant them that privilege. I mean people in the audience ACTUALLY crying? The Catalans haven't even attempted to make a world record, and yet these people are CRYING!!
We think this record attempt deserves a THUMBS UP anyway!

In our country India on the festival of janmashtami they build up to 9th floor human tower this is very much small from our tower and we also not having such a defence 😍,I love my country whoever agree hit a like..

Peopole of Guiness World Records, just go to Catalonia and you will see real human towers. I'm from Castellers de Sants but the record should go to Minyons de Terrassa or Castellers de Vilafranca. I'm not sure which one did the first humar tower of ten, but they did it for the first time some years ago. Thank you

Onlie one... Vilafranca isn't the best, they are good, but minyoms de terrasda is good to, tje best to go is the san felix, it is the celebration of human towers, it is in vilafranca del penedes, the date i dont no sorry

Chinese copying Mumbai Govinda style. It was a good try but I believe we Maharashtrians are good at it as we have been building human pyramid for years and it's a part of our culture and one of our govinda pathak from Mumbai holds the world record for tallest human pyramid. So Jai Hind Jai Maharashtra...!!!

The castellers of Catalunya routinely build taller human towers than this. Check out the 3 de 10 build by the Minyons de Terrassa.
