    Nice, rare catch of Braintree's MBTA Rescue Truck. Keep up the good work.

    Hope you got more from there! Division 1 looks great, seems like it has a little lightbar on the pushbar, side lighting looks cool too and the rear lighting is just awesome - never seen something like that before, great looking! :)

    That rescue rig is specialized to be used for accidents involving mbta trains. It's just based out of Braintree.

    That's crazy that a big city FD like Boston use another FD's rig! See that often with small FDs but not big ones. Still, great idea and good use of resources! Awesome :D

      From what I recall the Braintree unit was bought by the MBTA and while Braintree gets to use it as their rescue, if other cities need it they're obligated to provide it.

      When there's a report of a fire (not an activated fire alarm, but actual call from a person)

    Y were they running that instead of their own spare? Unless rescue 2 was using it? Boston uses other FD's rigs as spares??

    • @911ERV
      @911ERV  9 лет назад +2

      +StueyExMCFD Boston currently doesn't have a spare rescue, so when the Quantum was OOS they borrowed it from Braintree as part of a multi-town agreement. From what I understand, the MBTA bought the rescue but sold it to Braintree for $1 under the stipulation they had to send it to any community that needed it. Earlier this year, it served as Boston Rescue 2 as well. Thanks for watching!!

    is Boston due for a new tower ladder 3 anytime soon?

    • @911ERV
      @911ERV  8 лет назад

      +ocscards9 I don't believe so. The city currently has four E-One Metros and a KME for E10 on order. They are also bidding for four more aerials, not sure if a tower is included in the bid
