In the era of carbon credits building a 1960s tech engine that loses you money on every car built isn't viable no matter how much we wish it was. Also cam in block engines can't really compete when dual overhead stuff gets better every year, the power people are making on the stock bottom end coyotes and 4200 VORTECs is insane. Time goes on and those who can't or don't adapt usually don't do very well long term.

    This is like a flushing toilet - subpar ‘23 cars still sitting on lots rotting and banks are afraid to loan against them, being replaced by subpar looking and performing new models, Hemi replaced by a 6-banger, going electric… why would any dealer want to try to peddle Stellantis now or going forward? No recourse - can’t keep building the old model, nothing good in the pipeline to replace it. Nothing will surprise me at this point.

    2. I've had my 23 HC since June of last year (23) and not really any issues. It was an early year, and received it just before the strikes. I may be one of the lucky ones.. we'll see, but 9000 miles so far and all is good.

    I am sure there are dealer groups who will take a free CDJR franchise. Plus I am also sure there are a few and rare used only dealers that would welcome a franchise.
    CDJR isn't gonna fold. But they for sure need to focus on that Wrangler / PT Cruiser / Neon / OG 300/Charger/Magnum / Cummins core of consumers that enabled them to be the 700+ HP manufacturer that they are today.
    A $20,000 car that has manufacturing process issues is one thing. But dropping close to $100k and having build quality issues isn't earning repeat buyers.

      they're cool cars but they didnt have that going either when you figure in how much money Chrysler continues to loose $ on them. They still pay fines on the 1st new challengers n chargers. Their plan was to sell enough darts n minivans to offset those cars, that plan failed. GM and Ford had much more viable plans to produce their pony cars and even then the Camaro just was pulled. The Mustang mach E never made sense to me until i thought about offset credits

My concerns are that if Dodge goes under and we start having issues how will the factory warranty work? I paid 58k for a narrow body manual challenger, don't get me wrong I love the car and wanted one since 2015 but all that's going on with Stellantis and Dodge is starting to make me regret my purchase. Like the Dodge EVs being slower than Teslas -is the main reason for Dodge’s plummet in desirability to the mainstream car and truck buyers in North America.What about replacing V8 Chargers,Challengers and Ram trucks with limp wristed EVs and high maintenance low life expectancy 6 cylinder versions that might get a few mpg s better on a good day.

  • @davidrosing5788
    @davidrosing5788 Месяц назад

    If the dealers have a massive "no confidence" vote for Stellantis like this, then what should customers think?
    I mean, there MAY actually be some customers out there who'd WANT to buy an EV Daytona, but if there isn't a viable dealer network to back them up, I'd figure that would have a significant detrimental effect on buyers' willingness to even come into the store to look.
    The EV represents a paradigm shift away from ICE and has to be marketed as such if the company wants to stay solvent. I'm just not seeing ANY iota of marketing that's accomplishing this. If the dealer network collapses even before the first cars roll off the production line, who's going to buy them, and if even we tried, where would we get them and then get them serviced?

When has Dodge sold more cars than trucks, or Ford or GM. Not to mention it's the Big 3's highest profit margin vehicles. Why are we talking about cars, even electric cars. Everyone knows they' won't sell for 2 reasons......Infrastructure is not up to speed to support it....and people are hesitant and scared when they hear what battery replacement cost.
