I wish I would have found you long ago. You are amazing. I love the way you teach! You make people realize the importance of knowing your subject inside and out and you do it in such a way that is completely understandable. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Thanks for this- I'm drawing a skeleton every day this month and have been having trouble with the ribcage. Unless I measure it out beforehand I have a weird tic in which I try and shorten the torso which leads to proportion problems. The notion of the egg shape and where it does and doesn't work is really helpful- Thanks Dan!
All these videos and i still don't know how to properly study the anatomy to improve my drawings, it seems like I'm just copying and making slight notes on these but not really improving idk :/
Hey Dan! Great videos. Can you draw St. George or Australia for Draw the World Next? Thanks and I can’t wait to see more vids from you I’m your biggest fan!
I love this this is so cool! As a studying x-ray technologist student and also artist, this is been like an unexpected bridge between the two that’s helping me understand what I’m studying! If you don’t mind my asking, how did you get yourself so familiar with these structures to draw them the way you do? I’d like to pursue a similar familiarity and skill.
I was thinking, that when you fill your first draw the world sketchbook you could make a whole cool fantasy drawing using all (or many) of the things you drew! That would be cool!
Gracias Dan! realmente pude entender mejor la forma de la caja torácica y la pelvis, realmente me ayudó!_ Thanks dan! It really helps me to better understand the shape of the rib cage and the pelvis!
Hi Dan! I have a weird problem. I had a bit of a break from drawing recently as I got a bit too busy...when I tried drawing yesterday, I...I had forgotten how to shade!😅 Like the muscle memory was...gone. Any advice?
Awesome video! I have a question though. Is there a method that I can use to get the relationship between where the ribs extrude from the sternum and flow backwards into the form to insert into the spine? I feel like im always guessing on how long to make the thorasic spine, and that length is influencing where im attaching the ribs in the back of the form. The proko skelly app helps a lot but I was just wondering if there is a measurement system to nail that proportion.
Very very very useful information, all the knowledge for free & on the other hand prokopenko is selling the same knowledge for money thank you again Sir, jus 1 last thing when you draw this ribcage, skull & spinal cord did u use reference photos to draw or its all imagination drawing
**Effortlessly draws ribs**
Your content is amazing thank you so much for the detail!
I know you did this 2 years ago ,but this has been one of the best learning videos I've seen on drawing still.

I have a question: is the line that is located between the tip of the sacrum and the pubic joint parallel to the top of the pelvis?
