The Spirit of the Fab Four is alive and well in this masterful mashup and Tom Teeley, whoever and wherever he his knitted this together in a way that would make Sir George Martin proud and perhaps even a bit envious. This is my 7th year of coming here to enjoy this opus. Merry Crimble to all!
Wow!!! this was posted 13 years ago??? Heard it for the very first time tonight. I absolutely love it!! Fantastic, creative and filled with the Fab spirit. Well done maestro!!!
the beatles made it for the official beatle fan club fans....my sister was the secretary for ontario for the fan club,,,,,,every year, she got a floppy record xmas beatle greeting .....they were all put out on an album years later
lin reynolds Yeah, but this isn't one of the fan club records. This is a fan-made mix using extracts from those records, as well as outtakes, live bits and isolated tracks. Exceptionally well done. The emphasis of the real fan club records was less musical and more spoken word and comedy, so it's great to have this, which plays as a nice, coherent piece of music. A Christmas song as opposed to a Christmas greeting or message.
Brilliant work. I have to listen to this every Christmas from now on. It reminds me (whether it is true or not) that the Beatles enjoyed being Beatles as much as we enjoyed having them in our lives.
I visited this clip repeatedly during the holidays and now here I am in springtime. I STILL can't get over how well done this production is! The spirit of the Beatles is in it. For a few minutes it's as if John and George are still with us and all four are in the studio and having fun together. Thanks again to Tom Teeley for putting this masterpiece together.
Brilliant....simply brilliant. Imagine what kind of holiday album they might have put together had they gotten serious enough to polish their Christmas records' musical snippets. As they didn't (aside from "Christmas Time Is Here Again"), this is a fantastic substitute, very very very well done.....
It's become one of my annual Christmas traditions to come and listen to this. It brings the band back together as nothing else can. Happy Christmas to all and... BEATLES 4 EVER!
THIS IS THE COOLEST THING I'VE EVER HEARD! I know all the recordings - know them by heart and I never dreamed someone could make them better! I only wish it was longer! DO A PART II PLEASE!!!!
Absolutely brilliant! You’ve created a new piece of The Beatles using the lesser-known Christmas records combined with other tasteful selections of album tracks and curiosities (Hollywood Bowl concert, interview, b-side etc). And, the accompanying clip never once features a famous photo. As a big Beatles fan who is always looking for fresh, but authentic interpretations of the Fabs, this is just the kind of work that fulfils that objective. Merry chrimbo!
...and God bless you Johnnie Rhythm! I watched this a couple times on the anniversary of John's senseless passing and I must say what every fan would say, "I sure miss John!" This mashup is amazing though. It makes me feel as if the Beatles were all together knitting this together. Well done and thanks for all the hard work you put into this and for posting it.
I've heard this one last year for a couple of days, before and after Christmas, and now I'm here again, and I think this will go on for years and years...! Thanks for the brilliant mashup, and Happy Christmas!
This blew me away! Great job Tom, very ambitious! It flowed really well and was entertaining throughout! The whole thing was one suprise after another!!!!!! Merry Crimble!
OH UNTIMELY DEATH! I listen to this on the sad anniversary of the death of "Johnny Rhythm" It's so comforting to hear his amazing wit in this mash. I've posted before here an I say again- This is AMAZING! I think you rival Sir George Martin. Thanks for this post.
Wow .this is great. I recognize a lot of bits and pieces from the one disc I got. back in 1969 when there was a fan club ( prized possession) GOOD JOB!!!!!!
What a tremendous effort of love on this medley, you are a genius. This has been uploaded for a while but I am just now hearing it, Thanks for giving us something new to hear.
Christmas came early this year! WOW! This is one of the greatest Beatles related items I have ever seen! Plus NO YOKO from the 1968 and 1969 years! Many thanks!
Kudos to Tom Teeley for putting together such an amazing mashup for the holidays! Been listening to this every Christmas season since I came across it on YT and I still love it to this day. 🎄🎅🏻⛄️❄️
I love how you combined the bass from "Rain" (right?) and the horns from "It's All Too Much" with part of the 1966 record. Same with the "to you . . . . ." part from "It Won't Be Long" with "You Know My Name." Also with the guitar from "Paperback Writer" onto the 1963 record. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
On my Annual Christmas Playlist - Simply the Best!🎄🎅🏻🎸🇬🇧

I listen to this several times each Christmas season. Not only does this never get old, somehow it gets better with age! This is simply magical.
This brings joy any time of the year...not just Christmas.
That was truly amazing. Great work. I’ll be playing this one every Christmas

This would be a great addition to the Love album, maybe as a bonus song
I agree with this
Really beautiful. I didn't want it to end. The internet era has given The Beatles new life and longevity.
WTG 1653 ! A labor of love undoubtedly inspired by the "Love" project of Sir George Martin. Hats off to you !
