I own the 70-200 G2 since 2 years ago and when i crossed over to mirrorless the lens performed better on my canon RP. I also have the 24-70 G2. Love them both. Only downside is i accidentally hit the af and is switches. Need them to be tighter. But I use a wide rubber band to cover those switches
I got this lens in January and have used it almost every time i'm out. Def worth it, doesn't skimp on quality and is half the price of its canon equivalent. Actually, in the last video on my channel - I used this one to take all those photos. Great review Tomas!
Love Tamron lenses. My first f2.8 lens is the Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 non VC. I have 3 Tamron lenses right now: 70-200mm f2.8 G2, 35mm f1.4 and 15-30mm f2.8 G2. I prefer them over Sigma. Also purchased the tap-in console so I can update their firmware if needed. Will upgrade to EOS R8 and continue to use my Tamron lenses.
We have the Canon EOS 90D camera and it hasn't had much exposure on RUclips as I'd like. I'm following you for sample photos and videos. Keep using that camera and I'll be sure to keep following you.
If you shoot DSLR and want to upgrade to a great lens this is a no-brainer. I recently switched to mirrorless but owned both the 70-200 and 24-70 G2 lenses with my Nikon D610. I'm not a pro and shoot mostly as a hobby or as a parent volunteer at events. I shot my best pics with this lens and you can get a great used copy for 750 dollar range. My pics were absolutely sharp all the time. There is focus breathing which I never seemed to notice. Check those side switches bc they get moved easy. Cheers!
i used this lens for while, after 2 years of regular use i found some slow focusing issue and lil focus hunting proble....no issue with Image quality...before hat i tried my friends Tamron 70-200mm first version...lack of sharpness and focusing speed at 200mm focal length,,,,G2 have gr8 optics overall i am satisfied...
Great video Tomas. I found your channel this morning and I'm hooked. Love your reviews and personality I was wondering if you'd be willing to do a set up tour because I was wondering how you filmed your videos (they just look soooo nice).
Hey thanks for this amazing video. Want to buy one, I've seen these " Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 APO DG Macro HSM EX " and Tamron SP 70-200mm f/2.8 Di VC USD. Which one should I get? Or should I buy the latest model??? Amy thoughts, suggestions?? A big hug from Norway ❤❤
Brother i have a tamron 75-200mm f/2.8 with a canon Eos 600D. At manual shooting the aperture remains variable. Means it increases with the zoom which reduces my image quality. While it does not happen with the same lens on 1200 D. Kindly help how keep my aperture constant.
@@diviniajewels6380 Not a huge difference in my opinion. But the G2 being next generation, is built to be little bit better, and I do believe that it is a small bit better. My G1, I bought used and put tens of thousands of images through it and it performed awesome. I started to notice the focus not being as fast or as accurate. In weighing fixing my G1 or upgrading, I decided to go with the G2 because it worked with Nikon mirrorless cameras and the G1 did not. I was using the G1 on a D3500 at the time and knew I would upgrading, so went with the G2. I have had no issues with the G2 on a mirrorless using the FTZ for what it is worth.
do you still shoot on the 90d, I remember you being in that group... I am looking to upgrade to the r6. Will this work well on the mirrorless? thanks mate
I had that lens on my D850 but now with the Z Mount Z7 I use the best 70-200 ever made the S 70-200 Nikon for the Z series cameras >> different planet on the IQ side
Its a good lens but a poor choice to the canon 70-200mm 2.8 for Canon cameras. Like most of Tamron tele's it has a problem with erratic focus and background aberrations and cropping? A serious degradation will be seen if you dont get the shot in frame at the time of shutter. This isn't acceptable for sports IMHO. PS, the IS, MF buttons are so easy to accidentally triggers they present a nuisance and possible loos of that shot. the price for the Canoin IS ii is around 2k but worth every penny and peace of mind that if the shot isnt good, its YOU and not the lens. I screw up like anyone, I dont need the lens to help.
So what do you guys think?! Is this lens worth having in the bag?
I like the price, but leaning more towards the Canon 70-200 mkiii
@@kvedwards1971 you might want to check out some comparison videos, you might be surprised… 👀
@@tomaskoeck will do. Again I like the price but have always been a Canon and Sigma guy. Never owned a Tamron
As a Sigma lens person, I bought the Tamron and have been more than happy with the choice. This is a fine lens. Would highly recommend.
I have a Canon R6. Could anyone tell me if this lens needs any firmware update or if it is ready out of the box? Thanks

I love this lens. I have used it for a little over two years. It is, as Tomas says, great for portraits.
Totally agree!
Love the rich colors on the talking head part.

Beautiful video 😎 thanks for info on the 70-200
One thing I never saw mentioning - how does it work with RF adapter? Is autofocus realiable? Is there any issues?
Have you ever used the Tap in console to adjust anything?
Yes I own it....😁 the tamron G2 trinity is a good quality/price purchase....
How the sharpness

Haha I wish I could but it is top secret information ;)
Canon 70. 200 monstar 🔥🔥🔥
I have this lens the earliest version. Great lens
Hi i have a g2 im a beginner, when i shake the lens have a wooble inside & when i turn on i sounds like rattling? Is that normal?
Questo obiettivo ha una nitidezza fantastica a 2.8 bisogno a volte fare la taratura sulle macchine ma è uguale ai top di serie Canon e Nikon
I’m thinking about this or the sigma 70-200. which one is better?
Is this lens not a good fit for my canon t7i? I can’t seem to get clear pictures. My focus seems off always. What am I doing wrong
Save your time and just go with the Tamron! Can’t beat it!
BTW... Videos like these make it harder for the second hand market get "these lenses" to every photographer.
After shooting with the 24-70mm it’s only right I complete the set
Can you do a comparison between Tamron and Sigma 70 - 200 mm f2.8, please.
Can I use this lens on my t7i eos

Are you able to crop in as much with the R5 as you do with the 90D?

Can this lense be used with the Canon D90
Yes. That's also what this guy shoots wildlife with. :D
He actually shows that this lens is used with the 90D at the 3:06 mark of the video

Just a little confused here. Do you mean Canon 90D or Nikon D90 ?
Is it comparisable with Canon 70-200 rf 2.8 ?
Would
You get this for a d3500
Would this be better than sony G 24 - 105 mm?? 😮
Canon 100-400 vs Tamron 70-200 which is sharpper?
Would you recommend this lens or the canon 100-400 mm II? I only want to spend big money on one telephoto lens..thank you! Enjoying all your videos!
Me too, especially old canon ef mount
can this be used with a panasonic s5? will the stabilisation and auto focus work?
Thank for this video. Dobuu ya ou think this is a good lens with a canon t7i eos?
Did you already try the RF f2.8 or f4?
Hey everyone m looking at this lens for my 90D how it performs with that, anybody have experience with that ?
And great video by the way.
Is this lens weather sealed?
70-200 2.8 is my workhorse lens. I have the G1 and recently upgraded to the G2. Love this lens.

Hello ... I need a help! I own Canon EOS 90D, Can I buy this Lens for it ? Please please please reply me ... thanks.
Yes you can buy this lens for it
is this better than the sigma 70-200 f2.8?
Thank you sir
do you still shoot on the 90d, I remember you being in that group... I am looking to upgrade to the r6. Will this work well on the mirrorless? thanks mate
Does the eye af work with Tamron on the r5?
Yea it does!
Are you still making videos? Cleaning my subscription list of ones that havent posted in awhile

Nikon S70-200z was a beast of a lens until I bought the Sony 70-200 GM II the weight saving is tremendous 1045 kg😃
Would you use this lens for concert photography?
Yes it works great!
Great video
it could be a nikkor or canon either right :)
Maybe… ;)
Better than the Tamron , even if it is more expensive
I could use this with my canon r50
got mine sinse 3 years ago and it is only happynes
Good One Bro
I heard this lens is "insane". :)
Or sigma 70-200 sport
Love the clip but farking hated the music constantly looping in the background!
Why not a 100-400 or a 100-500 ?
Because they dont have the bright maximum aperture of 2.8, the 100-400 being 2 stops darker and the 100-500 being 2,7 stops darker
