Totally disagree about HTM. Wrestling back then was all about entertainment and HTM was the most hated heel for a year and a half despite not having the body or wrestling skills. He took what he was good at and maximized it just like Roddy Piper and they were the 2 greatest WWF heels of the 80s. He deserved all the credit he got because of how he played his role and nothing flukey about that.

But what Brunzell says about HTM can also be said about Hogan. Hogan was limited to the big leg drop and some chops and punches. But he made the crowd pop. In the 1980's, when you heard the first stains of "Real American" hit, you stood and cheered.
True. Brunzell was a better wrestler and worker than HTM, but he had the personality of a doorknob in WWF. Like it or not, fans buy tickets for the personalities not the technical wrestling skills. Hogan, Goldberg, Warrior, etc. were all pretty terrible wrestlers, but they drew money like crazy in their heyday.
You don't need 20 moves to be an effective pro wrestler, it's all about connecting with the crowd/psychology and telling a story. Hogan and Honky were masters at working the crowd and entertaining the audience, and you don't need a bunch of moves to do that.
I love these but just a suggestion.. as you mention names.. ask opinion of the wrestler in the ring and away from the ring(off script). ``Kamala..nice guy``... ok..but what did Jim think of Kamala the wrestler,gimmick etc.
