The playing is great as always and I love the fullness and warmth of the toms...My only complaint is the way they're tuned here produces an unpleasing note that sustains during the decay...But that's just a personal thing that could be easily remedied I suspect.
Like Gretsch Catalinas, these USA made kits are great value and sound good at the same time. Catalinas are Taiwanese made, but include a matching snare. These don’t. The Supraphonic snare here, certainly helps the kit sound good..so keep that in mind.
In the Catalina category, but made in the USA . This has a Supraphonic snare with it, which is NOT part of the kit. It certainly helps with the sound, however. The Catalinas at least come with a snare.
You mean price category? I guess if you think a 7 piece kit (w/snare) is comparable to a 3 piece (no snare). There is certainly a lot of added cost to made in USA. Questionable hardware decisions by Ludwig are also to be considered, like no rubber protectors on the bass drum claws, and (up until this year) fixed length bass drum spurs. Also if it matters to one, Ludwigs are all wraps if I'm not mistaken, while the Catalinas are lacquered finishes. On the plus side for Ludwig, they didn't skimp on the bass drum lugs and went with the full 10.
This guy could make cardboard boxes sound good. Incredible player.
That's what i have been saying for a long time now.the drums don't matter.its the person behind the kit.
*Just ordered my kit in black and i'm so stoked to start using it*
That shuffle was tight mr Benek
This kit sounds warm punchy but without any ‘overtones’ no need for dampening …AWESOME 👏 drumming too
Omg this lm402 sounds killer
Best sounding snare for many years, I have 2, tuned tight top and bottom with medium loose snares.
In all fairness, the Supraphonic snare makes this kit sound a lot better, however the rest of the kit sounds good too.
Good value drums.

Great playing as always, sir! The drums sound great as well...
Great snare ..a Supraphonic...
Incredible
again nice playing and tuning.

Which Catalinas are made in Taiwan? I know the 7 piece set has been made in China for at least several years (if not since their intro).
Patrik, can we get a smile reveal at 20k subs? :-D
Awesome demo as always!
Great ... 👍
Lido!!!
Awesome drums demo and fantastic player..who is he please ?
Why are they putting a fake wood wrap on the outside of these drums?
What do you have the rack Tom tuned to?

I like the rug better.
