If i wasn't in school full time i could finanically support myself, not ideally though. i wouldn't want to rent a ROOM in a house full of college kids though, which is the only comparable option to what i pay now for rent. I love my gradmother and choose to live with her while i still have the time to. I have the rest of my life to get married, have kids, live alone...bills are, unavoidable. already about $30,000 in debt from 3 college programs, if i don't need to live alone i don't think i will anytime soon. ;) but shit man, cudos to you. that's hard to do, especially now a days. i like understanding why people are at the stages they're at in life. some people are "behind" because of abuse, neglect, mental or physical illnesses, traumatic experiences ect - while others are "doing fine" or "ahead" because their parents aren't divorsed/they live in a 2 parent household, haven't had any traumatic experiences, maybe they started out life with no student debt, their parents are smart, successful, don't have any drug abuse issues, no anger issues. No family's perfect - but your parents are the MAIN reason for your success or failure at 18. Whether it be materialstic things you can see, or psychological aspects of home life. I saw a video of some 16 year old kid who built a tiny home in his parent's backyard. All the comments were praising him and saying "oh no one has excuses if this kid can do it" that kid has mommy and daddy to not only provide the space, but help him with the equipment, his dads friend was an electrician, his parents had the tools and skills to help out, and they were financially stable enough so that their child can do what he wants with his money, while mommy and daddy still buy his clothes, pay his bills - something an adult can't do. so people really need to look at an individuals upbringing to determine if it was them that got them there, or their parents help got them started. Nothing wrong with it though. SO, FEEL about 20 years old! But, in some aspects i feel more mature than my peers, when it comes to interests and intelligence about certian topics. I'm not that smart, but i feel like a lot of people suffer from illusory superiority. where people aren't consciously aware of their success or failure. they can't compare themselves to others accurately, so they fall below the social norm. It's hard to explain, but i feel about 45 years old compared to some comments i see on facebook. I often have to explain how things work for "adults" when they lose their shit online. Shit like THAT makes me feel VERY old

When I hit my 16's I started to feel old and I started to think about how close I was approaching my 18's and this kept going for a while, I turned 22 and I was freaking out because I was getting closer to my 25! To make this story short, when I hit my 27 I got tired of getting afraid of getting old when I wasn't even yet close to be old. I also realized that there's no way you can't stop time and embraced the cycle of life. I haven't married yet either, I'm 35 now but I feel so strong and with so much to do yet, most of my friends married pretty young and end up (mostly) divorcing and I decided just to take it slow and enjoy life. I haven't met yet my love life but I'm not in a rush, if it happens it will happen, and if not, well, I'm still happy and surrounded by amazing friends, not having a child is not the end of the world after all, to quote an old amazing fella (Gandalf) "End? No the journey doesn't end here, death is just another path, one that we all must take."

Sometimes I get scared because I don't wanna get old. I don't wamt to grow up and have more responsibilities, or live on my own. I don't want my brother tp leave for college, and I don't want to leave either. But yet again, I have hope for the furture as well. The fear of growing up will fade away when you grow up, and when you get to your late teens (18-21) it's natural to want to learn independence and living away from your parents. I'm 23 (so still super young), 4 years of living on my own (it feels a lot longer tbh), today was my third day in a job I'm actually educated to do. Sometimes I'm scared and I never want to change either, but I have to. It's called personal growth and life would be pretty empty and meaningless without it. :)
Ruby Merry I totally get you. My brother got married last summer and now he already has a kid. And it hit me a couple of times that the five of us (our parents, me and my two brothers) will NEVER live together again as a family. It was so much fun! And I'm the littlest, my childhood was a blast. BUT I moved countries, I made awesome friends, my bro's wife is AWESOME, the kid is A WHOLE NEW HUMAN BEING, that's amazing! Also, I learned a new language, I discovered that I really like that and will learn a couple more, also I will be a language teacher and I'm sooooi excited for that! So life, what is to come in life, is definitely something I look forward to. I miss being home, being a kid, being in a classroom with graduation a couple of years ahead, enough to care about other things than the future. I miss that. BUT, I wouldn't want to live in that loop forever, because there's so much I want to do! And I an DETERMINED to stay a kid in the sense to NOT let life get booring to have fun in my own way, without worrying if it's appropriate, and to keep fit so I'll be mobile and dancing till the very end. :)
Agree too. Usually it happens as you would think the old is wise as he has accumulated a lot of knowledge through their experiences while the young is naive as they haven't attained a lot. But of course there's always an exception. We have kids who are super wise due to the experiences they went through and we have adults that are ignorant and dumbasses as they only cared about themselves. I mean just look at the Paul brothers
They're not a new toy at all. 1) they've been around for over a decade and 2) they're not even toys, they're a tool for autistic people to help them focus on a task. Some assholes used to make fun of those who used them because that's what assholes do -- hate on that which they don't understand. Somehow the fidget tools became a meme and everyone's treating them like toys. This is a terrible circumstance, as some schools have had to ban them because kids who *don't* have autism are just messing around with them and disrupting classes, which screws over the kids who actually *need* them to function. People without a mental illness or physiological disorder shouldn't even have them. Now, I've been around long enough to know that this is a dumb fad and will go away by the end of the year, so it's whatever. Until then, try to educate others about what their purpose is so those of us with autism can continue using them -- as we have been for many years -- to assist in our daily lives. Thank you.

I saw a video of some 16 year old kid who built a tiny home in his parent's backyard. All the comments were praising him and saying "oh no one has excuses if this kid can do it" that kid has mommy and daddy to not only provide the space, but help him with the equipment, his dads friend was an electrician, his parents had the tools and skills to help out, and they were financially stable enough so that their child can do what he wants with his money, while mommy and daddy still buy his clothes, pay his bills - something an adult can't do. so people really need to look at an individuals upbringing to determine if it was them that got them there, or their parents help got them started. Nothing wrong with it though.
SO, FEEL about 20 years old! But, in some aspects i feel more mature than my peers, when it comes to interests and intelligence about certian topics. I'm not that smart, but i feel like a lot of people suffer from illusory superiority. where people aren't consciously aware of their success or failure. they can't compare themselves to others accurately, so they fall below the social norm. It's hard to explain, but i feel about 45 years old compared to some comments i see on facebook. I often have to explain how things work for "adults" when they lose their shit online. Shit like THAT makes me feel VERY old

When I hit my 16's I started to feel old and I started to think about how close I was approaching my 18's and this kept going for a while, I turned 22 and I was freaking out because I was getting closer to my 25!
To make this story short, when I hit my 27 I got tired of getting afraid of getting old when I wasn't even yet close to be old. I also realized that there's no way you can't stop time and embraced the cycle of life.
I haven't married yet either, I'm 35 now but I feel so strong and with so much to do yet, most of my friends married pretty young and end up (mostly) divorcing and I decided just to take it slow and enjoy life. I haven't met yet my love life but I'm not in a rush, if it happens it will happen, and if not, well, I'm still happy and surrounded by amazing friends, not having a child is not the end of the world after all, to quote an old amazing fella (Gandalf) "End? No the journey doesn't end here, death is just another path, one that we all must take."

The fear of growing up will fade away when you grow up, and when you get to your late teens (18-21) it's natural to want to learn independence and living away from your parents. I'm 23 (so still super young), 4 years of living on my own (it feels a lot longer tbh), today was my third day in a job I'm actually educated to do. Sometimes I'm scared and I never want to change either, but I have to. It's called personal growth and life would be pretty empty and meaningless without it. :)
Ruby Merry I totally get you. My brother got married last summer and now he already has a kid. And it hit me a couple of times that the five of us (our parents, me and my two brothers) will NEVER live together again as a family. It was so much fun! And I'm the littlest, my childhood was a blast.
BUT I moved countries, I made awesome friends, my bro's wife is AWESOME, the kid is A WHOLE NEW HUMAN BEING, that's amazing! Also, I learned a new language, I discovered that I really like that and will learn a couple more, also I will be a language teacher and I'm sooooi excited for that! So life, what is to come in life, is definitely something I look forward to.
I miss being home, being a kid, being in a classroom with graduation a couple of years ahead, enough to care about other things than the future. I miss that. BUT, I wouldn't want to live in that loop forever, because there's so much I want to do!
And I an DETERMINED to stay a kid in the sense to NOT let life get booring to have fun in my own way, without worrying if it's appropriate, and to keep fit so I'll be mobile and dancing till the very end. :)

They're not a new toy at all. 1) they've been around for over a decade and 2) they're not even toys, they're a tool for autistic people to help them focus on a task. Some assholes used to make fun of those who used them because that's what assholes do -- hate on that which they don't understand.
Somehow the fidget tools became a meme and everyone's treating them like toys. This is a terrible circumstance, as some schools have had to ban them because kids who *don't* have autism are just messing around with them and disrupting classes, which screws over the kids who actually *need* them to function. People without a mental illness or physiological disorder shouldn't even have them.
Now, I've been around long enough to know that this is a dumb fad and will go away by the end of the year, so it's whatever. Until then, try to educate others about what their purpose is so those of us with autism can continue using them -- as we have been for many years -- to assist in our daily lives.

When you're a kid,(I turned a teenager a while back, but that's still considered a kid, in my opinion.) you never really seem to think you'll ever be an adult.
