Marilyn That is totally awesome! You did an amazing job there! I know your mother is going to love it. Thank you for sharing your wonderful gift idea 🤗
Hi , My name is Connie and I am a newbie at sublimation. I have an epson 2810 printer ... I am struggling to work out what will be permanent pressed onto different materials is there a trick to this or a guide. My latest project is a sublimated picture onto a face cloth (towel material). I tested it and washed it after I ironed it on and it washed off... Please could you guide me in the right direction please. ps your work is awesome I love it. thank you
Hi Connie! The main guideline is that you have to use sublimation ink on 100% polyester for best results. The sublimation ink infuses into polyester fibers. I have used shirts that are 75% polyester and they still work but over time, the design will fade somewhat with washing because the non-polyester fibers will not truly take the ink. It is just sitting on those non-poly fibers and it washes out. The other thing is to have heat high enough to activate the ink. I hope this helps. Thanks so much for watching!
how do those towels feel? looking to make some towels for my daughters basketball team just something in one area of the towel cuz they would be using to dry their faces
I like the feel of them. I was worried that being made of poly, they wouldn't be absorbent, but they definitely are. They would feel fine on the face. Thanks for watching!
Very nice, yes your mother in law will love it, especially since you personally made it for her.
Thank you so much! She loved it.
