Yeah, the series was lots of fun, I got loads of play from Runabout 2 in particular when I was growing up. They always struggled with dodgy game engines/frame rates which is a shame, it would be awesome to see the series on modern systems because the whole idea is so appealing and it doesn't feel any developer has got the most out of it yet :)
That's a very good point. I think it's always been a thing with the Runabout series, maybe they were a bit twitchy about making the 3D models look too similar in-game to avoid licensing issues? It's definitely a strange one 😃
@@thepixelempire9290 plus Felony 11-79 and Runabout 2 tricked me into thinking there were licensed cars due too how spot on the vehicle models were to the real thing, I never knew that the cars in those games were unlicensed at all until watching a review saying they were.

Why do the vehicles look real in the vehicle select but ingame you notice the differences between that and the real car.
