- With this Foam backed carpet I find cutting with a sharp scissors works the best. If you have to put a seam then I would cut with a utility knife.
Not to bad Angela nice work. I would just recommend .. tack trip along the threads. Just in case your staples give away. A lot of traffic on stairs. Want to make sure carpet is well secure. So u have no accident. But for do it yourselfer you saved money nice work it look good.

OMG please do not install carpet again you don't have the right tools and you did not put pad on the steps and plus you're stapling on the face of the carpet who does that supposed to staple under the nosing and in between the step and the riser

Sorry but that isn't the way to install this kinda carpet too many ripples in the carpet. Sorry but if my guys did it like that I'd go through and rip them all off and redo them.

I have the exact same type of carpet with the attached backed foam . I am not sure how to install this on the stairs so it would be safe. This is the only video I found with a foam backed carpet on stairs
