Glad you appreciate this song and the collaboration of two influential voices. Rest well Sir George Michael. Lady Liz: You are wiser than your years. 😇
George Michael was my favorite male vocalist of all time. He was a powerhouse singer, songwriter, producer, never relied on anybody else to write for him or arrange his music he produced everything from Wham! to the last album he wrote in his lifetime. Just was no other artist like George. There is a reason the man sold 155000,000 records in his life time. In the George documentary freedom Stevie Wonder is featured, and he says that when he heard this version he was in awe.
They didn't try to go overboard with this cover, which is why it works so well. Two great artists paying homage to one of the greatest of all time. Mary and George became firm friends after this collaboration.
Oh wow…your reaction is spot on. I couldn’t agree more especially on George Michael’s smoothness and tone paired with Mary J Blige’s raspy soulful vocals.
I loved how they pulled this video together and both voices are such a beautiful blend. Yes I so agree, George Michael was/is such an amazing artist and I love everything he has done, even back when he was with Wham before going solo. So amazing♥
I’ve always been amazed at how they did this video, and I’ve always wondered how they did it,I’ve never seen a making of behind the scenes. It had to have taken its creators a long time to complete …
Try this one, it's Amazing. David Gilmour- Comfortably Numb live at Pompei 2016. David is the guitar for Pink Floyd, the plated this song there in the 70s. After Roger Waters left the band, David took over. This is considered to be his Mastetpiece. He's 70 in this video and is amazing. It's a make you think song, chill and the guitar........... Pink Floyd is an experience......... hope you react to it.
Love your reaction. You have great insights and a great way of expressing what you're hearing and appreciating! Unfortunately, this song didn't drop in the USA. MCA blocked the song from appearing on Mary's "Mary" album, and Sony followed suit, leaving it off of George's "Ladies and Gentlemen" best of album. It was a #1 hit in the rest of the world. This video wasn't "available" to view in the US until 2019 despite being released everywhere else in 1999. Mary has expressed her opinion on the matter (pro-George, not so much MCA.) MCA pulled the song because of George's forced outing via an arrest for "soliciting lewd acts" from a policeman - the same thing that happened to Tevin Campbell. George responded to the arrest with "Outside" - a banger of a song with a funny and pointed video, which was also blocked in the US for twenty years. Anyway, great reaction to my favorite Stevie cover from two of my all-time favorite artists!
My favourite George duet is 'This is not real love' which George dueted on with Mutya Buena of the Sugababes. Link below ruclips.net/video/eWJDTxa7YUo/видео.htmlsi=hBDS5yJJElBA4SPI
If you liked this Mary J Biige duet you should check out her duet with Bono and U2 on their song "One." Here's a link: ruclips.net/video/ZpDQJnI4OhU/видео.html
your so pretty! DO you take requests from comments? PLEASE check out the staple singers "Ill take you there" live performance. i would kill to see your reaction and i know you would love it!
Well Lizzie, you surprised me with this one. I mean, it's obvious George Michael and Mary J. Blige have vocal skills. This "As" reminds me of Whitney Houston's "I'm Every Woman". Also, Incognito's "Nights Over Egypt" /ruclips.net/video/9rWWaCFqy6o/видео.htmlsi=4Qcy8wWxGyZuRfy. These are some talented artists paying serious homage to great songs. You're looking pretty today, Lizzie. I appreciate you looking the best that you can do for us (subscribers).
Here's a couple of reaction ideas if you aren't familiar with them already. George Benson "Give me the night" and Michael McDonald "I keep forgetting". I think you really like them. You have a wide and varying taste in music like me, and these are two of my favs. 🙂
Hi Liz, I just hope you're doing well, that's all. I recall you went through serious grief 2 or 3 years ago....just hope you're doing better, and happy. Did you ever consider a reaction to Stevie Wonder's, "Superwoman/Where were you when I needed you?". 8 minutes, two songs flowing perfectly one-to-the-other...very sad lyrics but you can hear hope every time he sings.
Hello Liz. I think you would enjoy Home Free's rendition of How Great Thou Art. They are an acapella group, and the video was filmed in the Austrian Alps.
Glad you appreciate this song and the collaboration of two influential voices. Rest well Sir George Michael. Lady Liz: You are wiser than your years. 😇
Love this version. George always seems to let the ladies he collabs with shine more than he does. Big talent with a small ego 🎶🎵💚
Brilliant video and reaction! Thanks for choosing this collaboration.
This was awesome!! You do such a great job my friend!! 😊

Skip how much he sold and so on. He played almost every instruments, directed and arranged almost everything. And he was a very humble man.
This is a great cover of stevie Wonder song. George Michael 🙏 Rip.

Love your reaction! I think I would love Chinchilla's 1:5, the live version.
George loved Stevie Wonder, he grew up listening to him. He also thought covering his songs flattered his vocals better as they have similar voices.
