Adhd Gardener: I was watching a video you made a couple of years ago and wasn't sure if you check the comments on old videos or, if you had come up with a solution to keeping top heavy plants from falling over so...If you have anything overhead to attach nylon or kevlar string (like the cattle panel in your hoop house) loop string (that will handle the weight as mentioned) over the cattle panel wire and bring it back down so, you have ends, tie a permanent loop in one end, pass tag end through loop and pull it tight enough to support the plant, then pinch it where the tag end passes through the loop to maintain that tension while you slip a loop of the tag end between those 2 pieces and pull it tight creating a quick release knot that can be released, so you can adjust, tighten, and retie the string as the top heavy plant grows. I hope you can figure out what I mean and it's helpful. Also, you can use 2 different strings looped overhead one slightly to the left, one to the right so, the plant is being supported from 2 direction rather than straight above if that seems to work better than 1 string. I do hope this is clear enough to be useful to you. I'm a PTSD ridden, bi-polar, ex- combat medic with an infinite number of ever evolving hobbies so, I enjoy seeing how others handle their own particular brand of neurochemical weirdness in order to turn it into a positive: I enjoy your content, and I hope you keep making videos.
Hello plant people when you refill your container leave a gap between the bottom of net cup and the water. Roots need that gap to breath.
First time trying hydroponics. Started a conventional system and another system using worm castings, compost and comfrey as nutrients. The conventional system is far ahead of my home brew, talk about bioslime, I have a bumper crop. Think I goofed up when I added some fish hydrolysate for a nitrogen source. Fish hydrolysate is a huge fungal food.
Thinking about using the home brew out in the garden and trying again.
I have a small channel if interested, just some worm bin videos now, but more to come.
Stay Well!!!
I like adding hydrogen peroxide to the water at the start so everything is steralised but I have had that film and I just used a microfiber cloth to absorb the oil and kept going but I'm not sure if it came from the container or the water
Thanks for the hydroponics episode! I have been following your steps for water... I have a pH meter and a TC meter, and I use the pH-down. My next issues I'm behind the learning curve about are how to administer the right amount of light for indoors. I use an Andriod app called "photone" to measure how much light they're getting, and I have the lights on a timer. I've noticed that some lettuce seem to like more light than others, and I can tell by whether the leaves are pulling away from or toward the light. It's all very fascinating, and my spreadsheet is starting to reveal what lettuce likes what DLI.
I tell ya one day when I grow up ima be just like u n be that organized😆. Lettuce are partial shade growers so it makes sense that they don't do too well in intense light.
Hello ADHD
My thoughts were you have to keep topping up the kratky ,keep the same level not let it go right down unless you have a massive bucket like a 50l bin
Cheers 🍻
That makes def sense. I'm not feeling the idea of letting the water sink down like I did. Live n learn!
❤❤
what meds do you take that help you???? i may have bipolar and add refusing treatment now
I dont take meds for my adhd. Used to but it only lasted a few hours so I said screw that. Learned to use the anxiety to keep more on track on tasks daily living etc. Wouldn't suggest refusing treatment. I do continue therapy to address the ctpsd. Therapy def can help alot learn some helpful things n skills
