    There's an issue with referring to these people as "alt-left", because it doesn't have remotely the same connotations as "alt-right" does. The alt-right was basically just more openly racist and authoritarian than the mainstream right-wing but still agreed with most of their policy goals, whereas these so-called alt-leftist are not leftists in any meaningful way. I would argue that it would actually be more accurate to call Tulsi et al "alt-right", because they're effectively right-wingers putting up an extremely flimsy pretext of being leftists.

      @cliffgaither 2 года назад +1

      Aaron Z ::
      (1). Putin was enjoying the remnants of the Olympics, in Souchi ( 2014 ).
      there were no visible signs of a major conflict in the Ukraine.
      ( 2 ). Yanakovich, the president of the Ukraine, was outsted from the presidency _( in 2014 )_ by Neo-Nazis and Ukrainians who wanted a closer relationship with the Western Powers. The United States supported the "Alt-Right" in Ukraine, as the United States usually supports the Right-Wing elements ... wherever they find them ...
      ( Yanakovich wanted a greater relationship with Russia as Russia offered the Ukraine a much better deal than the Loan-Sharks of the International Monetary Fund / World Bank. The United States didn't like the choices Yanakovich was making for his Country, as president. )
      ( 3 ). In _2022,_ Putin invades Ukraine.
      if the United States and European leaders said Putin would invade Ukraine _after_ the Olympics _( 2014 )_ ...
      there is an 8-year difference between _2014 / 2022._
      so ... the three questions ::
      [a]. how did they know, 8 years in advance, that Putin would invade ?
      [b]. what took Putin so long to carry-out the Invasion ?
      [c]. what happened during that 8-year period that led to the invasion ?
      eight years is a very long time ... a legion of changes took place during that time ; such as, the United States' intervention in the Domestic Politics of Ukraine ; NATO advancing closer to Russia's borders ...
      [a]. the United States invaded Iraq based on lies about WMD's, which is one of many lies the United States has told about leaders of other countries they want to eliminate.
      [b]. the presidents of the United States always lie to the public, especially when they start to incite the public to war-hysteria, disguised in "democracy" and "freedom" ... blah ... blah ... blah.
      [c]. the United States' presidents also lie to World-Leaders ( Allies and Enemies ).
      Clinton, one of this country's biggest liars ::
      promised that NATO would not move toward Russia ... he lied ... before he even finished making that "promise".
      Russia wants to protect Its borders after many invasions throughout Its history.
      The Ukraine is Russia's Sphere-of-Influence.
      The Ukraine is Russia's Monroe Doctrine.
      The Ukraine is Russia's Manifest Destiny.
      There are over 8M Russians in the Ukraine ( the largest Russian-Diaspora ).
      _( There were only 600 American students in Grenada when Reagan lied about that invasion. )_
      Russia, like China and Japan, didn't fuck with the United States when It was issuing Doctrines and Manifestos in the Western Hemisphere.
      Putin has been _re-acting to_ circumstances ; not creating them in that 8-year gap.
      It would be better if Americans paid closer attention to the Foreign-Policy of the United States instead of focusing on a land far, far away ... where people speak an entirely different language ... have completely different historical experiences.

      But even insane if we consider history,
      your comment ranges somewhere between utter ignorance and Holocaust denying levels of negationism.
      The USSR respected Nazi Germany's sovereignty and jointly invaded Poland according to the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact, thereby enabling the construction of the KZs to begin with.
      Then Nazi Germany invaded the USSR, and the USSR didn't fight the war to "liberate concentration camps".
      In fact, in the DP (displaced persons) camps the Jews in Soviet-occupied Poland and East Germany landed in, thousands and thousands died even after the war.
