Talking about disappointment is never fun because it makes you take some of those "hard to swallow" pills but honestly... we all need it. And it's better to confront those tough subjects than to ignore them and let them wear us out emotionally. So keep fighting the good fight and know we are praying for AND with you!
Today's encouragement comes to you from a modeling set in Atlanta, Ga.. And the message is, don't be afraid to suffer a little while. To be honest, I don't want to be here. I don't want to be away from Tori, our baby just started kicking and moving around and I want to be there for it all, in the comfort of our home, and relaxing by the pool after work. But here I am, in a different city, in a not very nice hotel (lol I'm a diva) and am going to be doing a job I thought I was done with to make sure we can afford what we need for the baby and you know what.. I'm happy to do it. Let me paraphrase this entire message thus far. "I don't want to be here, yet I am happy to be here." Did you catch that? You can not want to do something but still do it with joy because of a greater joy. I can push away immediate dissatisfaction because of my hope for the future. This is of course on a much smaller scale than what I am going to mention, but let me end with this. Here on earth, this is our temporary home. We belong in heaven with Jesus, at the table God has made for us. So as you go through some small annoyances and some larger set backs, do not forget that all of this pales in comparison for the hope we have for the future.

Hey y'all thx so much for asking for prayers, I have been struggling with not knowing what God wants me to do, unsure of the path he wants me to take.
Unfortunately I got covid. Tomorrow I’m taking another test, praying it comes negative!
Something I need prayer for is my anxiousness. I have been really anxious and excited for the results for a big test that I took for a job that I really want! So just prayer for peace of mind and that God has me right where he wants me.
Mainly that I can trust God in the waiting and enjoy what he is doing in my life now. I’m so disappointed that I’m 33 and not married, no children, and I’m not getting any younger. I just want to be content with the beautiful life God has given me. I also struggle with trusting God. Thank you for y’all’s prayers! xo

Something that helps me in seasons of disappointment and waiting is asking myself, "If I got the thing I've been waiting for tomorrow, would I have any regrets about how I spent the season waiting for it?"

I love when Tori said, “it’s hard to feel down when you are lifting your hands high!” That’s so good and thanks for the encouragement. I’ve found that I’m content right now but I’m at a bit of a standstill with what God wants me to do career wise. I’m a youth ministry major but not sure exactly how God wants me to utilize my skills. The Lord our Father does work in mysterious ways at times , his way of teaching us the avenues of our life's journey from the beginning until we enter the house of our Lord. I'm no exception , just a simple man with many twists and turns during my life's journey. I've been going through a lot and praying for the same thing for over 3 years now.
I have moments when I get tired/frustrated and then I get like a second wind of faith and i'm okay haha.
but yesterday I told God that I don't like it here, I don't like this process, I don't like this journey, but I know that He is good and I can rest in His enoughness. I can acknowledge how i'm feeling but choose to feed my faith through Him. God is so worth it all.

It’s been much needed because this time of life had been full of growth & of course, the decisions to be made but, staying faithful in knowing I’m doing the best I can & it’s okay when moments don’t go exactly how I imagined they would because God’s then opening a way for more awesome experiences in life & seeing it’s okay, as I’m older now. Even when my family’s going through things I can listen & do my best whilst God handles the rest. I guess it’s all about finding our peace with knowing God’s always got a way for me, for us! We all learn a significant amount in life & that’s so cool because we challenge our mind’s/heart’s & become more centered on God through the challenging feelings we all have & it’s definitely easier said than done on some days but, I’m so grateful to God & you both for bringing us back towards God more with every video! Anytime I have an opportunity to tell people my experiences I truly feel it is so important for people to hear.
I have experienced one of the greatest heartaches of all in my life, losing my beautiful daughter at the age of 27.
If it wasn’t for my Lord I honestly don’t know how I would of lived through any of it.
It was the day of my daughters wake & I was trying to get myself ready to go to the funeral parlor. I just remember
Thinking how is this possible that I am going to see my daughter in that casket, I was shattered with grief.
Before we left the house I needed to go outside for some air, even though it was February in New York & very cold
I just had to go outside. As I walked down the three steps to the walkway I saw this penny on heads, and automatically
Bent down to pick it up. I put the penny to my heart and asked God to be with me, and to help me through the worst day of
My life. As I was praying to God I looked down at that penny, and the penny was dated 1983 the year my daughter was born!
God has always been with me & he let me know at the most crucial time of my entire life that he has always been with me
And that he has never left.
Please remember the Lord Is always with you and that your never alone. God bless you all 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻

I suffer greatly from PTSD, and have really had a hard time coping over the last year especially. There have been so many moments recently, however, that I have come across a message and think "This is a piece of the puzzle that will save my life." As if Christ is building this beautiful masterpiece, a bigger picture than what I can even fathom now. And when the puzzle comes together, and I can see the bigger picture, my soul will finally be at peace. This video is one of those pieces. This message is one of those puzzle pieces that I know will stick in my soul forever. God is really making a way. He said He would. And He keeps His promises.

Thank you so much for this. Just subbed. I've been really struggling for the past 4-5 years. During this time I've had no job and have been stuck at home, mainly playing games to pass the time, at time doing art too. I have felt like a complete failure. Here's a rundown of my life so far. I was going to college in my late teens and did really well even though I struggled. I took a gap year but didn't really do anything except relax. The next few years I tried to get a job but for a long time I couldn't. Eventually I managed to get one as a part time cleaner. After a year and a half I was due to go back to college to continue my studies but when I received the summer homework I knew I wasn't ready to deal with this level of work - too hard a level. Skipping forward 4-5 years I have been in limbo without a job and at one point I even became suicidal (not anymore thank goodness) coz it is miserable to be in a place with no apparent purpose. I have tried to get a job but all the agencies around me have one by one let me down. To get a job is not exactly straightforward either - I have fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, ADHD and other things; the ones listed being the most impactful. When I got diagnosed with ADHD in my early 20s (I'm in my mid 20s now) it was like a bomb dropped on me. Though it was helpful to be able to put a name to my struggles, I never actually got any help. So when you spoke about disappointments what you said really resonated with me so thank you. Though I know the Lord is faithful to complete His work in me (I have seen Him use this time to grow me) I still think "ok great He's growing me in this area but what about a job?". I know I must remember how far he has taken me and not make light of it but at the same time I struggle with being content as a person who still lives at home with mum with no job and no direction.

Chad you were saying the words in sentence "walk into". My mind heard walk in two. Then it came to me that what God was saying your not walking alone your walking with me . Then I realized I was not fully walking with Him. If I was I wouldn't be afraid. Or feel defeated. I've been unconsciously self promoting myself to others to mask fear and defeated feelings. Others see it as anxiety or arrogance which isn't really what I am. At any rate I thought I'd share how God used this video to help me a bit tonight. Love you both .
