the way they were together for 4 seasons, and when stefan said he couldn't do it anymore, she ran to damon in the same episode. Like wtf? Like you could have at least wait for a week. It was like their relationship meant nothing to her. Then she played with his feelings again when he lost his memory is 5x03 and didn't tell him and Damon were dating.
Then she got jealous of Stefan and that witch from season 5 even tho they broke up a year ago. What Stefan did with her isn't your business. Tbh both of the brothers deserved better.

I think we can all agree that Stefan is too good for Elena. Elena is very annoying and super self-centered. Elena barely waited atleast a week to go to Damon. She broke Stefan and badly. I ship Klaus and Caroline more to be honest, but Caroline is so good for Stefan.

People must have forgotten that when Stefan and Elena broke up she was sired to Damon but the universe was forcing Stefan and Elena to be together and Elena didn’t act on her feelings for Damon because she chose Stefan but it would suck even more if she stayed with Stefan even though she was not in love with Stefan like that anymore and Stefan was in love with her human side more and yes she cried about but she had accepted that she was a vampire and she found out there was one care she even told Stefan she didn’t want it but give it to Bonnie mother or to someone else

Honestly the tv series did Elena dirty. She was definitely more of a badass in the books and she stuck with Stefan through 13 books (frustrated the hell out of me) but she ended up with Damon in the last book after they went back in time or something. Oh and Stefan ended up with Katherine in the books I think. Cause in the books they're sisters - their mother is a guardian or an angel or something, which is why Katherine is 400 yrs older lol. Cause I remember Elena having wings in the book and they were really powerful. So yeah, the tv series did her dirty by making her a crybaby.

Qetsiyah tells us a theory in one of the episodes. The universe will always try to make the doppelgangers meet somehow. Stefan and Elena are doppelgangers and they were destined to meet (doesn't matter if they were meant to end up together but definitely they were meant to meet). So it's mot disgusting coz just like Elena couldn't control how she was born as a doppelganger, Stefan couldn't control how he was destined to meet Elena.

I think it's mostly the cheating part that people are upset about. Stefan had a lot of bad moments, yes, and he was by no means perfect but, for the most part, he was really good to Elena. I don't think that he deserved to be cheated on, and I don't think that he deserved to have Elena move on from him so quickly, and with his own brother too. But I can definitely see where you're coming from.

If you're saying this from Elena's viewpoint, I must say something. First of all, the two different "people" she juggled with are "brothers". That's just weird and somewhat wrong. Secondly, she should have officially broken up with Stefan first and then pursued Damon. She cheated on Stefan in the second season. She kissed Damon and called it a goodbye kiss as Damon was dying from the werewolf bite. But she could have just given him a hug. Or a forehead kiss. So it's not okay. Cheating is cheating. Stefan deserves better than his traitor.
