Absolutely beautiful restoration! My favorite T-Birds are the 62-66 T-Bird Roadsters. Amazing how the tonneau addition dresses up the car, but gives the flexibility to return to a four-seater simply by removing it. If this sold, I hope it went to someone who loves it as much as you did!
Hi Mike, Thank you, thank you! I have always loved this style and this era when cars really had style. It's beautiful and classy. And always remember, please, that the showstopper top never takes too much time to show off. You ALWAYS have enough time to demonstrate this most interesting feature! It never gets old! And still photos never capture this dramatic poetry in motion. The MONEY shot! (You stated that in all your years and money spent in restoration, $95,577, you never got to test its cruise control. Huh?? Really?? REALLY hard to believe...)
I like your style Mike Stanton. You should allow comments on all your videos. My favorite is your black 61 Caddy Coupe DeVille. My God that car was absolute perfection!!
I had a 68 Galaxie 500 convertible. Front cross member was rusted. Went to frame shop and was advised to check with Ford dealer if they had old manuals for interchangeable parts. Turns out 65 to 68 T birds was on the last. Junk yard took the front cross member from a 65 bird and I had it welded into my 68 Galaxie 500. I thought the underpinning frames where the same so not sure about the t birds being a unibody or not. I know my Galaxie was considered a full size ford!
Mike, offering up this scrumptious automobile for sale is the same as telling your 5'9", 19 year old, 36ddd all natural, super model wife, "I want a divorce".
Don't be a hater. If you think it's overpriced... You obviously can't afford it! There are car collectors out there that will jump at the chance to purchase this vehicle. 👍😎👍
I can well afford this car . I am an old car enthusiast and have owned many classics much more valuable than this one. I’m not a hater but am pointing out that the cars value is in the $30k range. Go ahead and do your homework. I’ve done mine.
Cannot do a frame OFF restoration on a Unibody car as the body and frame are integral during the construction, perhaps a rotisserie restoration would be a better description
No frame off restoration, They were a uni-Body Built Vehicle. Also does the Hi-way pilot work? Also engine is all wrong to include Breather and valve covers.
Very nice Mike. Do you think you can locate a couple of ‘85 Cadillacs for me? Like an Eldo Biarritz in Corinthian Blue Firemist with blue button leather interior, or perhaps a Seville in Antelope Firemist with doeskin beige leather button interior? Been looking.
Looks even better than new! Beautiful Thunderbird!
Indeed a beautiful car and the color is simply gorgeous.

Beautiful car, but I'm curious with the roof stowed is there room for a set of golf clubs, let alone groceries? ;-)
small bag of groceries,or a 6pack of beer.
Is this available?
No fender skirts & over 40 grand??
What are you selling it for?
Please show the car
Another really neat car!

Beautifull !
Crap. That is freakin’ spectacular. Never seen one with the factory cruise before.
It even says "retard" on the switch.

Correct. The frame off part confused me. Maybe I'm missing something🤔

shouldn't it have fender skirts?
Does the changing of color negatively affect the value on a car like this?
Dude, yes you are correct. If he had have stayed, with what the pictures lead me to believe is the original red, it increases the value.
