Ok but the Barbie game boy games are where it's actually at--the 12 Dancing Princesses one is ICONIC because you get a different power for each of the 12 girls and the Magic of the Pegasus one lives in my head rent free.
The intro to the "Barbie and the 12 dancing princesses" Unlocked some unhinged, feral rage that i guess i had tucked away in my memory for good reason. That game was something else, from the tank controls to the platforming that i had too much trouble with, to the easy puzzles that my 4 year old brain struggled to comprehend for some reason, and the dang *monkey* that comes in and steals gems from you had me STEAMING as a child. I still loved the game however and it was one of the first that i played to completion. The sigh of relief i had when the end credits rolled...Never picked it up again, however. (I had the PS2 version)

I feel like I've played more of these games than I have watched Barbie films. And I forgot I even played most of them. No clue where I got the CD-Roms, but I played Rapunzel, 12 Dancing Princesses and Pegasus sooo much

My dream game is a fromsoft style game set in a more fully realized barbie fairytopia. Also twilight princess is the goat 👍

I'm glad to see everyone else saying they were frustrated with the 12 dancing princesses game too. The sets are gorgeous but the platforming was just soooo hard
I had Barbie Explorer (not bad tho controls could be frustrating esp at Babylon), Magic of Pegasus (actually quite good, replayed it all the time, and tho the flying was slow the ice skating was fun and it was actually pretty well paced with a lot of varied gameplay), and Princess and the Pauper (honestly found it a little annoying because Annaliese almost never shows up, but the stained glass and cake parts were nice). I also had 12 Dancing Princesses, it was kind of repetitive but it was fine. Of all of these, I'd recommend Pegasus, then Explorer, and Princess and Pauper would be last but it's a quick play

I never played the Barbie games that were based off the movies, but my three favorite games when I was growing up was Ocean discovery for the PC,
Fashion designer for the PC and magic genie for the game boy colour.

Edit: I AUDIBLY GASPED WHEN YOU MENTIONED THE GIRL WHO LEAPT THROUGH TIME! It's one of my favourite movies! I am subscribing right now in case you do make a video on it. I cannot tell you why but it is the one movie where I will never recover from the ending.
Barbie in the 12 dancing princesses is one of my top 5 barbie movies, but the game looks like it sucks. Also! If you want to do another barbie video in the future - watch barbie life in the dreamhouse and barbie dreamhouse adventures !
