Were he to ask something from Me, I would surely give it to him. Were he to ask Me for refuge, I would surely grant it to him. She went to him to ask for a maid-servant, but she could not find him, and told `Aisha of her need. When the Prophet (ﷺ peace and blessing be upon him) came, Aisha informed him of that. The Prophet (ﷺ peace and blessing be upon him) came to our house when we had gone to our beds. (On seeing the Prophet) we were going to get up, but he said, 'Keep at your places,' I felt the coolness of the Prophet's feet on my chest. Then he said, "Shall I tell you a thing which is better than what you asked me for? When you go to your beds, say: 'Allahu Akbar (i.e. Allah is Greater)' for 34 times, and 'Al hamdu Li llah (i.e. all the praises are for Allah)' for 33 times, and Subhan Allah (i.e. Glorified be Allah) for 33 times. This is better for you than what you have requested." - Bukhari 3113, Khums Narrated Umm Habibah: The Prophet (ﷺ peace and blessings be upon him) as saying: If anyone prays in a day and a night twelve rak'ahs voluntarily (supererogatory prayer), a house will be built from him in Paradise on account of these (rak'ahs). - Abi Dawud 1250, Nawafil Salat Narrated Salim's father: In the lifetime of the Prophet (ﷺ peace and blessing be upon him) whosoever saw a dream would narrate it to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ peace and blessing be upon him). I had a wish of seeing a dream to narrate it to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ peace and blessing be upon him) I was a grown up boy and used to sleep in the Mosque in the lifetime of the Prophet. I saw in the dream that two angels caught hold of me and took me to the Fire which was built all round like a built well and had two poles in it and the people in it were known to me. I started saying, "I seek refuge with Allah from the Fire." Then I met another angel who told me not to be afraid. I narrated the dream to Hafsa who told it to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ peace and blessing be upon him). The Prophet said, "Abdullah is a good man. I wish he prayed Tahajjud." After that `Abdullah (i.e. Salim's father) used to sleep but a little at night. - Bukhari 1121, Tahajjud Quran 23 : 60. And those who give that (their charity) which they give (and also do other good deeds) with their hearts full of fear (whether their alms and charities, etc., have been accepted or not), because they are sure to return to their Lord (for reckoning). 1 :20 :00 - Fudal ibn ubaid said to know Allah accepted a mustard seed of deed is more beloved to be than anything as Quran says Allah accepts from the pious. salaf would make 6 months asking Allah to accept their worship in Ramadan and pray another 6 to reach Ramadan. Umar ibn Abdul Aziz said on Eid Fitr, you fasted 30 days and prayed for 30 nights, so today ask Allah to accept your worship. the people would say, will my Master accept my worship? --- abi dawud 1342 on history of salat.
